Chief engineer not on board the ill-fated Sukhothai navy vessel
Kevin Taylor replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Some do depends on the vessel and the company. Anyway they are always supposed to be there. They are supposed to be the expert on the maintenance of the ship, that includes structural integrity. I wouldn't really blame the chief. If he had reported the vessel unfit to sail I daresay no one would have listened and he would have been disciplined for making his superiors look bad. -
Thai tourism workers urged to have Covid vaccine booster
Kevin Taylor replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Why, pretty much everyone's had covid now. The booster won't stop transmission so who does it help apart from those selling it. -
Thai man in apparent psychosis causes a scene in Pattaya
Kevin Taylor replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
I am rarely impressed by cops here but I watched them take down a nut job armed with a machete at Avenue mall maybe a year ago. As this article said that were armed with long metal poles. When I arrived I saw the cops getting ready but I thought the were going to wrangle a big snake or an animal or something which was kind of how they did it. They pinned the guy with these long poles with like a pincer on the end and then cuffed him. I was pretty impressed they did it hard and fast and they were never really in danger. When I walked passes the cuffed nut job he was growling and gnashing his teeth, yabaa psychosis I reckon. -
I agree with them about the dangers of the roadworks. In 20 odd years or more driving here the last few years are by far the worst. Their really doesn't seem to be anyone in overall control. It seems like different groups from the council just dig up roads for whatever reason and leave it like that, apparently it's someone else's job to fill the holes back in. Second road has been dug up for about a year now. I figure another couple of years before they finish the drainage on that one and suspect it won't cure the flooding problems.

Heavy rain wreaks havoc in Pattaya, damages tourists’ vehicles
Kevin Taylor replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
That was the worst traffic I have every been in trying to get from Nth Pattaya to Jomtien. Pretty sure all the unfinished road works doesn't help. -

WHO Praises Thailand’s Strength in Handling COVID-19
Kevin Taylor replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
If you live here all you need do is look around to see all the damage done by lock downs. Still to this day I don't know anyone who died of covid but I know of about 20 people who died of other causes during this period. Everyone has lived it now, no need to listen to beaurocrats trying to rewrite what happened. -
How much time do you spend in the tourist parts
Kevin Taylor replied to kingstonkid's topic in Pattaya
You read how bad Pattaya is with girls walking and bars. What does that mean ? I presume your talking about walking street agogo bars. You kind of have to go out of your way to go to a walking street agogo bar. So to go there just to write the negative articles that you seem to have read seems kind of dumb. Most people end up pretty quickly finding a few local bars where they have friends to talk to. Pretty much the same as anywhere I would have thought. It is nice to have the nightlife options available if and when you want it. But maybe I am one of those undesirables you have read about, sure as hell though I won't lose any sleep worrying what other people think about me for living in Pattaya. -
I think of the 2 strains saliva might be the one to cause this. I personally had them confused initially, now I have switched to Indica I am happier with the effects. For me Indica is a more giggly happy relaxing high. I had similar reactions to you a month or so ago on edibles thing is I don't really know what strains were in it only that it was strong. I had a sleepless night of introspection which wasn't really what I was looking for. I have experienced this effect a few times and to some extent I listen to it For me I feel like it's my normally silent brain yelling at me to sort myself out or make changes. The next day when I think about it I usually conclude that my stoned brain might have had a point. That being said it's not much fun at the time.

Now if she had said to US and NATO please stop supporting a proxy war against Russia because your pushing the world towards nuclear holocaust just to appease the military industrial complex. If she had said that I would have been impressed. Alas she didn't she said the safe thing to get likes, but you know it is a beauty pagent after all.

Thailand building up problems .UK make it class A drug
Kevin Taylor replied to pixelaoffy's topic in Thailand Cannabis Forum
I don't really know about UK politics but she sounds like one of those lefty globalists that want to force everyone to bend the knee to their made up narrative. She even uses the terms, force the public to do this and scare the public into doing that. I think all of the reasons she uses to upgrade cannabis to class A are false and untrue. But Hey why let the truth get in the way of a loopy lefty narrative. -
Drove down beach road today. Looks like the promenade is being ripped up to make more parking. Although there is a definite lack of parking in Pattaya surely this is not the way forward. Walking the promenade was the only good thing about that beach. I can't see any good outcome from doing this.

Good luck getting them to actually spend money. -
Police teaching children how to "Run-Hide-Fight" in wake of massacre
Kevin Taylor replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I have changed my mind on gun ownership in recent years. I wonder what would have happened if some of the mothers were armed I reckon they would have done anything to protect their kids. The <deleted> killer ain't nothing special, he was armed and no one else was that's all. -
Interior ministry and police force declare war on drugs
Kevin Taylor replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Assuming this is in response to the school shooting, maybe concentrate on how you gave a gun and badge to that psycho instead of drug use. The war on drugs has been a failure in America arguably causing more problems than it solves but who knows maybe this time it works its their country not ours so up to them really.- 71 replies

Lancet Commission on COVID-19 response: 'Massive global failure'
Kevin Taylor replied to onthedarkside's topic in World News
Blames people for protesting government measures ? And recommends giving more money to the UN and WHO to look after peoples health and wellbeing? I still to this day don't know anyone who died of covid, on the other hand I know about 25 to 30 people who have died of other causes during this time. Last thing I would want is to give more money and power to these beurocratic organisations
