Question about “Pothole” Coffee shop
Kevin Taylor replied to Nickelbeer's topic in Thailand Cannabis Forum
One of the shops I buy from said the first time I bought that you can smoke the joint outside the shop where there are some tables. I didn't but some people I think do. I personally would like to have a few puffs when walking between bars I feel like that is probably ok to do but I am not sure. In the last month around lk metro bars and walking street I haven't seen or smelt anyone smoking outside in those areas. Anyone do this ? -
I kind of feel a little sorry for this guy a little bit. I think on this one subject he is correct. All the garbage he came out with about covid, no he was an uninformed fool. But in legalizing marijuana he is correct. Unfortunately in much of the world this plant has been illegal for as long as people can remember. Instead of asking why it was made illegal in the first place some people just assume it must have been for a good reason and buy into all the old reefer madness rubbish. He was talking to foreign press when he made this statement so no doubt he was concerned about them writing negative stories. Which they probably will anyway because that's what they do.

Good thread. My question has already been asked but I didn't really understand the answer. That is indica and sativa strains which one is good for sleeping. From my experience here in Thailand over the last month. Lots of choice but I am like a beer drinker in a wine shop I don't really understand the descriptions of each strain and instead tend to look at the THC % figuring stronger is better. As an ex cigarette smoker I don't really like smoking that much so less puffs to get the effect is better for me. One of those marijuana witch joints of about a gram lasts me 3 days or so. For me I liked Mimosa, it seemed the strongest, probably tried 5 or 6 other strains all good but much of a muchness to me. I expect ultimately it comes down to personal taste but I quite enjoy learning about this stuff.

Highly potent weed creating marijuana addicts worldwide
Kevin Taylor replied to gargamon's topic in Thailand Cannabis Forum
CNN eh. Years ago it was considered a reputable news source. Now it's just far left opinion based stories funded by the ultra rich oligarchs. Big pharma being one of the main ones. I wonder what big pharma could have against legalized marijuana? -
Half a million in Thailand saved by Covid vaccine

That link is about excess deaths not about a fictitious number of people saved by covid vaccines. -
Half a million in Thailand saved by Covid vaccine
Kevin Taylor replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Unfortunately math modeling for covid has become another term that should be met with skepticism. It was wildly inaccurate modeling that led to media and government panic 2 1/2 years ago. Now this article claims some modeling that half a million saved from covid death by vaccines. Science would dictate you show your math model and assumptions made to come up with this number. Otherwise? -
Welcome to life in Thailand after the pandemic

So you can still wear a mask if you want to. If you don't want to the State will no longer force you to. So everybody is now happy right? -
It can do. I wouldn't necessarily believe all the hype but it can help. I have had lower back and neck issues for a while, worn discs basically. Those problems do seem to go away when I take marijuana. I prefer edibles to smoking. You could try the different CBD oils and drinks etc or the THC oils that are 0.2 THC that stuff won't get you high. It's worth a try If it works for you good if not you haven't really lost anything. Just so you know the official medical use is a daily dosage kind of thing it doesn't mean you're high 24/7.

I don't understand this guy either. Most people reading this have at some point smoked pot. So this story just does not sound true. Not least of which your working in Thailand checking guests in and out of their villas. I seriously question that as well. If you don't like the new liberal marijuana laws then fine but I don't think your going to convince too many people with this story. That being said over on one of the other threads there are people posting that they will continue wearing masks because they are such virtuous people. So I dunno some people will believe anything.

E-Cigarettes: Thai public back govt's anti stance, poll suggests
Kevin Taylor replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Absolute Garbage, try asking 10 people on the street what they think. Nobody would care most wouldnt know what e cigs are and nobody would call for them to be ilegal. -
When is it going to end ?This is endemic and we are all going to be exposed to it. Whether you are exposed in a bar or a supermarket it makes no difference. If the officials are worried about hospital beds stop forcing people who are not sick into hospital for quarantine. It makes zero sense.

Is new COVID-19 variant a cause of concern for Thailand?
Kevin Taylor replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Agreed, In terms of evolution its not in a viruses best interest to rapidly kill the host. Your option 3 is kind of the goal of the virus. Hopefully thats how it goes. -
Its pretty clear for all to see that bar closures have nothing to do with covid and everything to do with the PM wanting bars closed and currently having the power to do so through the emergency decree. Good luck getting those powers back by the way. He might actually believe that alcohol is the source of all evil its kind of hard to know what he really thinks. You cant threaten him with not voting for him next election because no one voted for him in the first place. Civil disobedience might work but would be the last resort. If everyone ignores his alcohol bans there really wouldnt be much he could do.

MOPH: Drinking alcohol increases risk of contracting COVID
Kevin Taylor replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I dont even care anymore. In fact I thank these Puritans in government for forcing me to open my eyes and see where Thailand is heading, its all gone too far now I dont know where it will end but I have seen enough, I am making escape plans as we speak. -
Pathetic, the rules come from the covid health bureaucrats. They dont care a bit about mental health, poverty, the economy, or any other health issues. True leaders would listen to experts on all fields and navigate the best way forward. Instead we have incompetant leaders happy to hide behind health bureaucrats since closures and lockdowns orders come from the disease control morons. To be fair not just here but many other countries following the same folly.

Businesses in Thailand urge government to reverse alcohol ban
Kevin Taylor replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Government has the power by virtue of the emergency decree. Some of those in power dont like regular folk going to bars and pubs drinking alcohol. Thats it really, public health is just the excuse used to keep everything closed.
