  1. Let's get this right, the purpose of the U.S. Embassy (in any country) is to advance government & business interests. us lowly taxpayers are to be found at the bottom of the list of tasks. once you come to terms with that, you may regret paying income taxes, SS, Medicaid and all of the rest of the <deleted> they invent to soak us with.
  2. s running around there might be a independent one giving better than T. T. But it is rare unless it is next door to where you are staying. Down W. S. Beach Rd, all along Buakhao including Soi Diana best rate pretty much all the same is T.T., the T. T. At Big C Klang give a bit lower than the rest usuall .10 from my observation. Gemini exchange on soi 13/1 - sou Postoffice.o Open 24/7
  3. I'm in Patts, I'll also give you $5 each for those worthless notes.
  4. I did not know that the Baht Busses even ran on Thepprasit. That would be handy. Since the CVid thing, the Baht busses have not run on Pattaya Nu either. It would be nice if those ran too. At night, many of the Baht Busses in Jomtien are few between and also selective as to who they stop to pick up. That is unnerving!
  5. I know someone who recently bought a condo in Baan Suan Lalana, paid 1 mil ThB. And there were lots more units for sale....lots more. Buying a condo is easy, selling one no so easy. Especially if you want to break even. This is a renter's market.
  6. Absolutely, 1000 ThB gets you to Pattaya. Has the cannabis liberalization gotten to this guy?
  7. I did mine in Chonburi (Jomtien/Pattaya), yup they wanted that insurance, the TM6 card(seems like everyone wants this),proof of paid residence, the required fee in cash, your actual passport, that silly ASQ form you got upon testing in ASQ hotel, a photo, passport biometric & visa page photostat copy, completed TM7 form, STM2 form completed. They rifled thru these docs I presented for over 15 mins and voila, an extension stamp was inserted into my passport. I have no idea if any of this was overkill, but it did the trick. Go figure, this becomes the required 90 day check in, so there is nothing else until the next visa renewal.
  8. If you were a woman, you would know - immediately - if someone else was in your back pocket.
  9. There are over 300 banks in Russia, for the most part, the top 5 have most of the banking business, those are the sanctioned banks, not all of them. Not having access to the SWIFT transfer messaging system, makes international transfers cumbersome for the rest.
  10. I submitted my application, there no request for the criminal record check.
  11. I know of no 1 year visa. I recommend you get a Special Tourist Visa. Then do a border run or go abroad for a 60 day visa, then get a 30 day extension. Voila ...270 + 60 + 30 days. Laos & Cambodia or possibly Malaysia are good candidates. Vietnam & Singapore incur more expenses. I presume you can apply on line for the visa from anywhere, but will need to go abroad to re-enter to activate the visa. Entering by airport is most probably the best way to do this. Use a VPN from your home country to hide your actual location.
