  1. It's abstract but not overly complicated. If you're familiar with trading platforms or anything that works like futures and options it's pretty straightforward. Start at Coinbase if you're looking to learn more. ????
  2. Fair enough...we'll stick em in the same bucket as those who said email would never become a thing
  3. I did metals between 2005 and 2011. had a gold and silver IRA. Made some dough. Started with bitcoin in 2013 with a couple of ASIC jalapeño miners hooked up to a laptop and SlushPool It's regulated because Governments want in. Thats good thing (kinda). It'll become more predictable. It never used to follow the stock market but it does now, especially since there's starting to be BTC ETFs popping up
  4. Why wouldn't he be able to sell it instantly? Thats part of the point behind it. It's not like you're putting an ad on a forum saying I have 200k of crypto for sale who wants it
  5. I still can't believe that after a decade of BTC and watching it go from a dollar to 69K and there's still people shaking their heads about it being based on nothing. There's never been more adoption of it in it's history as there is now. It's regulated to high hell. Why? Because sharks and whales wanna put their money in it and want rules around it so they know how to manipulate it. Not saying you will get rich (you most likely will though) not saying you'l lose it all, but the arguments that its not real money or that its based on nothing are right up there with flat-earthers claims Now show us some balls and trade 50% of it on leverage. ???? Just kidding. Good luck dude
  6. You sure can sell it for real currency. People trade it all day long.
  7. Tell a lie often enough it becomes truth. I don't know how these people sleep at night
  8. Everything these guys said. Just did it for my spouse visa...4 transfers of roughly 100k using Wise. Transfers take about 12 hours to complete. Saves money over using traditional swift or wire methods. Good luck and welcome aboard
  9. There's a stretch down Lang Suan road with some really great restaurants. Wife and I try a new one every other weekend. I really love that neighborhood.
  10. Pretty much sums it up for the lot of us in the same position. Sorry you had to deal with this. I just filed my first application for marriage visa and I lawyered up for this very reason
  11. Im sorry to hear that. I went to Chicago in September so I could catch the end of the baseball season and see my team in the playoffs. It was worth it in that sense but getting back...omg...nightmare. Could have been worse but expensive, stressful, and a lot of hurry up and wait. Stay where you are if you're here and enjoy the many facets of Thailand that we all fell in love with when we started coming here. ????
  12. 100% of the 80% are 100% correct. There's no glamour in travel anymore. There's nothing special about it, nothing inspiring, nothing cool. You're livestock with a wallet at every juncture.
  13. Not married, no kids. She doesn't want it either and has refused her mother on it. I think a lot has to do with the fact that we didnt do a village wedding. everything is a negotiation here. Including sinsod and future financial contributions. Barter hard, it buys respect
  14. Ok...I'll add my own. I won't do sinsod. I give my wife a good life...she works...I work...she has a masters degree and a certification from a top university in Chicago. Mom gets money every month and her brothers kids have all the new tech they need for doing school online. I'm certainly not gonna have a village of people judging me, my plight to find her, and the years of bs, corruption and 'tolls' I've paid along the way by how much money I put on a plate for them all to count. The buck stops there...quite officially. Not to mention it's antiquated and perpetuates the idea that women have a price tag and can be bought. I don't think my sisters or family would get it back home...tradition or not
  15. That's a good rule dude. I often have a problem navigating that with my bro in law
  16. Lets just get back to life so they can make money elsewhere besides extorting residents.
  17. If he's American then that doesn't work because our embassy doesn't provide these types of letters. I think he said he has no income as well.
  18. Im curious to know what population of incoming Thai Nationals have tested positive upon arrival and consequently have had to go stay hospitel...
