  1. Sure you can. Then it defines a big part of expats who think they can retire on money they can´t use. After that, complaining about not enough money. I actually count such people out of the equation. That´s too stupid for me. I am pretty sure they have these set amounts because they want to make sure foreigners can live in and afford Thailand without getting into complicated situations. However, here it was the negative tax we talked about, and there you are perfectly right. Doing it that way, everybody can come stay in Thailand without anything to live on. 🙂
  2. There we have the reason of people dying as usual. Another moron at high speed, without a care in the world.
  3. How in the world will this have any impact on expats living in Thailand? This is aimed at low income sector. If there are expats in Thailand affected by that, then they are surely breaking the rules one way or another by living here with lower means than stipulated.
  4. It´s just amazing how stupid people are. It´s well known that Facebook is used for all kinds of illicit and illegal purposes. it´s also well known, that if the price sounds too good to be true, it surely is. Still people who wants to book hotels and resorts can´t bother to use reliable platforms or the company website. It´s also fantastic that Facebook is allowed to continue running their platform the way they do, without proper protection and needed security systems that protect their users. Same with shopping platforms Lazada and Shopee, that are allowed to make business without thorough checks of their sellers. It´s so easy today to get away from all responsibility by writing terms and conditions that only implicate the sellers or users and give the people earning money behind the platforms full freedom to continue.
  5. Bye Bye! Have a nice trip home after deserved detention.
  6. Did nothing wrong? I don´t think it´s legal to just throw a body in the trash. Yeah, but if you look at the moral aspect, it will tell another story.
  7. Nah, not even close. The meaning is totally different.
  8. Yeah, sure. Then they normally have a customer both ways. In reality, as it should be. 🙂
  9. Where do you get everything from? I have very good knowledge of how every class live in Thailand including migrant workers. As a legal migrant worker in Thailand, if not legal should not be here, they have two options. Either the employer include payment for health care in the salary, or they have the option to pay 2100 baht per year for access to Thai healthcare. That regardless of any pre-existing health problems. So if do things right as a migrant, the hospitals can not act like vultures, but I guess you didn´t know that. Most people have a phone or shared access to a phone. Never said Thailand is a perfect world, but people need to understand what they need to do to take care of themselves. Basically that amount is smaller than they send home every month, so one month they just have to pay the necessary and send home less.
  10. You got it all wrong! Arrested in Thailand, means they had to talk to the police and pay a suddenly made up amount to be able to continue their work. 😉
  11. Another bus fire! We must assume it one that has not yet gone through the rigorous check up. Or maybe that was not necessary for diesel buses? Hmmm....until now it looks like! Just wondering how many years old this bus is, and how many miles it has been running on the same engine. Also, might there be any inspections that have been overlooked due to bribes because everyone knows it should be taken out of commission years ago?
  12. This guy must be educated enough to be in the Thai parliament. He fits right in with the other lunatics! As we all can read, he has been practicing his profession regarding denial of everything, even if it is supported by facts, witnesses and evidence as well as his own admission do driving at the "modest" speed of "only" 80 km/h in a parking lot.
  13. The cause of the accident is one thing, but I guess they have to investigate the reason why there are 9 people in/on a pick up and many of them sitting in the cargo area? Again, they must be hard on this. Big fines and possible jail for drivers who allow this to continue, instead of risking and wasting peoples lives.
  14. The result of poor to no education at all. If you deliver a stillborn child, you call the hospital or police and everything is ok. Sadly people in this part of the world seem to have a habit of poor excuses and making it hard on themselves.
  15. They are not aware of any security measures in this country. Nor are they aware of things like always looking to see everything is safe and clear. Here we have a container lift operator who just assume everything is clear as it usually is??? After that, we have a guy with headphones who assumes he can walk where he shouldn´t. The area is also assumed to be typically restricted. Besides that, the operator seems to be unaware that he are moving containers far to close to each other. As it was able to kill a person, I would not be surprised if the containers collided with each other at some moment. That is poor attention and bad work.
  16. I think we are all missing something here. Seems very strange to me, that the aunt came home only 50 minutes after the last message has been sent. That means the 12 year old girl stayed home all evening, and someone should have taken her or she left home during the 50 unaccounted minutes. Sounds too much of a coincident too me.
  17. They say she was a nurse. How would it have been with the great idea to take the man to hospital if he got worse? No, instead she just wiped with water and watched him die. Good Job!
  18. Not to worry! At our morning market, they have police standing every day. Despite that, everyone are double parking, driving too quick and stopping the once who park ok from coming out. This will just result in same. Nobody cares!
  19. Above is the reaction from citizens of the country! Still they can´t fix the problem. Totally useless authorities and leaders in this country.
  20. Let´s see if it is the teflon baht or if it will lower it´s value.
  21. Another alternative would be that they only see a very unstable market, and just interested to get the bucks and move on. But no no no! They always believe that Thailand is the promised land and the golden goose that all have soo much interest in.
  22. Yeah, that´s how they want it. Everything should be accepted. At least, they could refrain from violence. Also the sick demand that all should recognize and accept them. No way in hell that is going to happen.
  23. They have really been working hard on it today. In almost all the accidents they have managed to fubar the vehicles.
  24. Ok, I stand corrected. This was a very fortunate and lucky incident, that could have had serious complications. Running to buy lottery tickets now!
  25. Sorry, did not read correct. Saw now, that they were travelling in the sedan. My bad. @madone You comment was not included in my apology, as it was a personal attack, which seems to be very common here. Also a false statement, as I never posted anybody deserved to die.
