  1. don't flights get cancelled sometimes before boarding?
  2. ok thanks a lot so say your flight gets cancelled, you have to book a few days later, you would have to deal with it in the area past security and wouldn't be able to go back to stay in Thailand until your next flight? you'd have to stay in the airport?
  3. can right click page and click translate and it should translate it with the option of what language you want it to translate to incase the refresh doesn't work
  4. So after you pass security, (X-ray), you can still go back to checkin/departures if you need to before immigration? If you go through immigration can you still go back to check in/departures?
  5. use google chrome and translate page to English, thats what I do
  6. Just curious whats the typical airport departure procedures flying out internationally? I noticed some people said you have to go through immigrations, so what is the process doing so? Do you go to departures > check in > immigration > security > boarding? Just wondering where along the lines the immigration check would be and do you get stamped out or is there no stamp when leaving if you don't overstay?
  7. not sure about apartments but the staff wouldn't be able to get into a condo room
  8. Exactly my point, multiple unarmed people guarding a door doesn't work against an armed criminal.
  9. google it? there's literally hundreds of instances on video or in articles where a gunman shot the criminal? Whether a robbery, mass shooting or home invasion, theres probably thousands if not tends of thousands of instances that aren't on the news. I can't believe people actually think that having an armed adult would have resulted in no difference in the chance of this ending differently, even if one or two lives were spared. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-62217263
  10. Thanks for the insights, I will write a letter to my police station and let them know to carry pencils instead of firearms Right because calling everything a myth will solve everything. Plenty of news reports, stories, videos of people defending themselves with firearms against criminals. Common sense should be enough to understand that having a firearm to defend yourself and others is going to result in a higher probability of survival versus not having one in a massacre like this. The only ones who will be negatively impacted are the victims. I think if you had a friend or family member at that school, you would think differently.
  11. was a pickup truck Isuzu, not sure the model, back door wasn't very big so wasn't a full sized pickup truck, not much space in the back I googled isuzu pickups and just briefly looking assuming it was a d-max because the backdoor is quite small on those.
  12. I remember in a home safety thread I made people were saying nothing like this can happen in Thailand and it’s super safe…just goes to show anything can happen and you have to be prepared. Very sad to see something like this, if someone at the school was armed I wonder if so many fatalities would have occurred.
  13. have been picked up by a few pickups with grab, always shocked to see it but not a big deal
  14. Interestingly enough Steve Jobs has said similar things, I also follow that rule. I'm always looking to read or study a new subject, once I find something I like, I pursue it until I have peaked or have gotten bored and move onto something else.
  15. https://news.stanford.edu/2022/09/22/charging-cars-home-night-not-way-go/ More reports showing infrastructure is key in an EV adopted country, interesting to see Stanford go against many theories of at home charging being the key to EV's as well. I guess a few people owning EV's in Thailand hasn't stressed the grid out yet but once adoption happens it will, much like it is happening in China and US. Newer condos have them, even non-luxury condos, but only a few chargers (2-3) and people fight about them in group chats about people hogging chargers/not moving their cars right away. Not practical to own an EV yet in Thailand if you live in a condo.
  16. I guess I did word it a bit incorrectly, wasting life would be incorrect, and by no means did I mean you'd have to stop work to do what you love, but when you're working to put food on the table and working for the joy of doing a job you like, is two different things. I think those who have enough money to be financially free but continue working have a different experience than those working and living cheque to cheque or having to stress over work because if they get laid off or fired they'll have to struggle to survive. An exaggerated example would be someone like Elon Musk who has more than enough money to do anything he wants in the world but decided to pursue electronic vehicles and spaceships.
  17. I remember sitting in an Isuzu once in a grab, probably the worst car I’ve sat in, in terms of smoothness, actually MG might have been worse overall in terms of smoothness because they’re cars versus trucks. Old Toyota taxis ride better.
  18. I’d say most people are “wasting” their life until they’ve achieved financial freedom, whether through retirement or other means. Only then can they truely do what they love and enjoy
  19. If you live in a more rural area this happens a lot. In urban areas it’s more rare but still happens if it’s raining heavy.
  20. that sucks, Cigna's policy is if you have any tumor or history of it you are automatically denied.
  21. yea I was shocked by this as well, why would anyone buy those cars like Isuzu or MG, are they super cheap? Toyota/honda would be superior by far in every aspect and are cheap already. But I guess people still buy bmw/benz/audi so people don't typically shop for quality.
  22. if he was walking near the wireless road canal, maybe the train track between nana/pleonchit, I used to live at life one wireless and recognize some buildings at the beginning, that's what I would guess, so maybe go to wireless road at the canal and walk east, just a guess though, I haven't been in Thailand long you could probably ask him in YouTube comments, he answers sometimes
  23. Smoking anything increases risk of lung cancer, you learn this in biochem 101. The whole propaganda of medical cannabis use has been long gone now, hence why cannabis stocks are all worthless. Was a good story a few years ago until they did studies and found it was virtually useless for medical use. Not surprisingly that article was from 2012 when people thought cannabis could cure every illness known to mankind and was the fountain of youth. Was great marketing.
