By law you are supposed to reply and explain that you are living overseas (if you are only temporarily in Cali and soon return to Thailand). There is supposed to be a bench warrant for your arrest for failure to respond. I got jury summons delivered to my Cali address and I made sure I told them where I was, why I couldn't do my civic duty, and that they had received my correspondence. Having said that, my son in Washington state has ignored 5 jury summons and nothing has happened to him. Let your conscience be your guide.

What you say never happened DID happen, in front of the whole world, captured on video and played over and over again, yet you cry, "it never happened." When you deny facts then you can not ever be taken seriously. To the collective "you" - What I really don't get is this: why does this criminal have such a hold over your brain? My son lives near Tacoma, Washington state. He NEVER wanted to own a weapon but bought one a few years back for exactly what you describe - sheer necessity. Though he lives in an upper-middle class neighborhood, the police have basically given up. The bad guys outnumber them and are much more heavily armed. He tells me of cars cruising regularly with their lights off near his home, obviously up to no good. He works odd hours so he sees them and they see he's up and about. Yup, good ol' US of A has some serious growing up to do.

We ARE witnessing a split, but the US has gone through this before. The civil war was ugly, and I believe we're headed towards version 2.0. There are MAGA deviates that have openly called for such. That is about the only good thing the traffic cone of treason did - exposed the destructive vein of white nationalism that is still poisoning the blood of the nation. Thankfully they are a dying breed. No matter how desperately MAGA tries to supress rights/votes of non whites, they are breeding much faster and turning out to vote MAGA out to die on the miserable vine of their own making. I still hold hope for the US. We may be bloodied, but we're still standing.
