What planet are they on?
No sane person with 40 million baht to 'spare' is not going to invest here......they have the rest of the world from which to choose.
They love it....drove past a family of five this am with grey, acrid smoke billowing out from a bonfire......all sat around it.
The thing is......... the smoke tends to rise quickly in the still air and settles over the neighbouring properties not their own......not that that would bother them.
Bonfires of rubbish every single morning now the weather is cooler.
Choking, dense smoke sits over the whole village.......and there is one lone voice complaining about it.....which is pointless I admit.
Looking forward to some cooler weather....however, that means the locals will be burning anything and everything they can get their hands.....the AQ will be horrendous.
Just an aside....I recall years ago the company that supplied the cheaper hotels in Pattaya with 'mineral' water was filmed filling their bottles from a tap in their backyard .......anyone else remember that?
I can almost reach the wires hanging down across the front of our property and the poles either side are leaning at 10/15 degrees......wouldn't even cross my mind to try and get the PEA to do anything about it.
First mistake......and it is huge.....is, 'I'm looking to buy' ......never, never buy in Thailand, only ever rent.
And it is no good hoping to be one of the lucky few who 'claim' to have done well/made money etc.....they are the exception.
A sad indictment of the many the subhumans that occupy this planet......unbelievably selfish and lacking any degree of empathy.
I would be more than happy to see their cars crushed (with them in it?).
I'm far from convinced men are capable of 'true' love.
Men are, by and large, far too immature and selfish......they suffer from varying degrees of lust, which they confuse for love.
What gets me is when you have a string of bars cheek by jowl all playing different tracks.
I have suggested to a few bar owners.....why not get together and play the same track......each bar can take a turn each day/week to choose the music......you'd think I was suggesting free beer and no bar fines.
I wouldn't have said that was appalling driving by Thai standards......motorcyclist mainly to blame for not anticipating the car might make a right turn from the slow lane.
