My wife has lent out/given away around 5 million baht (her money).......only found out earlier this year....I was not a happy bunny. She has just finished building a house and is now asking me for money to finish it off.....no way! -

Nearly got caught out on that. Realized at the last minute mine was due on a Sunday.......phoned to ask is it okay to do it on the Monday?..........Ans: Yes, no problem, see you Monday. Found out somewhere about the fine and made a quick dash on the Friday.

It is frightening to think that a good proportion of these 'tourists' might be single males from a certain war torn part of the world looking for some R&R. -
There is not a kid under 18 where I live that seems to have an exhaust pipe fitted to their motorbike.........or if there is one it is designed to amplify.

I think it depends which bank you are with.....Bangkok Bank is a no go (for me at least). Given up trying to pay direct and hnow phone a Thai cousin in Bangkok who has a different bank.....they pay there bill and we pay them!!!
