    You are never going to be protected in Thailand by rules and regulations.......your only option is to take personal responsibility for your own safety. I mentally have a PEP for every place I go and if I'm not happy I leave. Many night clubs, and massage parlors in particular, are death traps

    My wife has lent out/given away around 5 million baht (her money).......only found out earlier this year....I was not a happy bunny. She has just finished building a house and is now asking me for money to finish it off.....no way!

    Nearly got caught out on that. Realized at the last minute mine was due on a Sunday.......phoned to ask is it okay to do it on the Monday?..........Ans: Yes, no problem, see you Monday. Found out somewhere about the fine and made a quick dash on the Friday.
