You are correct to say that.......but the US is a lost cause. The staggering indoctrination they have received with this obsession to own/carry guns is ingrained. It would take strong leaders and many generations to change their mindset.

Ultimately there is no political will (backbone?) to do anything about guns in the US. Even those steps that might be consider will have no impact.....just window dressing. The US is basically doomed to massacres, mass shooting, accidental shootings, drive-by shootings........this situation will, at best, not improve, but more likely get worse.

Don't you know? Everyone in the US carrying guns make the US the safest country on earth.......if you ignore all the gun deaths that is.
