where to stay for one week in February
Paris333 replied to hotandsticky's topic in Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao
If you go on holiday anywhere during the financial crisis you are a national benefactor for the country you travel to......Stay at home and relax because America is almost ready for bankruptsy. Every week many branch banks are closed in order to avoid totally shut down. -
Why in Pattaya? I have been many-many times in Bangkok and Patong but not in Pattaya.

Is Thailand heading towards an economic crisis?
Paris333 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I'm sorry to disappoint you, but economists have predicted that if the Asian crisis doesn't blow up again, the world economy will not recover. -
I am sorry but I will displease you because as a tourist who has gone to Thailand (I have already worked in a multinational in Thailand) but I repeat as a tourist all the items I bought I gave the receipts at Suvarnabhumi airport and they returned the VAT to me. Of course I put the money in a postal envelope and sent it back in my Bangkogians friends from Athens. Who say Thailand is unfair in taxes?

Pattaya Police Hold Special Thank You Event for Tourists
Paris333 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Stop visa as well as "mandatory" health insurance .........All of these means the same thing and constitute the subject of closed study by Ministry of Tourism. The trip to Thailand become more and more expensive for average visitor ....except from Russians as well Arabians "bussinessmen"......I book my trip in a multinational tourism company online so my money to close my trip remain outside of Thailand including air companies. In other hand tourist operator book Hotels room at €10 and resell them to tourists online at €50 and more....more ....more .....again the customers money is outside of Thailand.....What is the profit of toursim in Thailand if 90% of customers money is outside of Kingdom? Οn the other hand, as a tourist I am forbidden to open a bank account. What's the problem if Thai banks have the IBAN number which is unique number for every depositor in every continent? If I wanted to launder black money as a tourist, I wouldn't give my IBAN number in the country of deposit because I will be under arrest by Law Enforcement Agencies. -
Thailand ranks bottom of the pile with ASEAN English score
Paris333 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The English language is in the Latin alphabet and it is logical that Thais find it difficult to learn it like all Westerners.Do you know Thai? Do you know Chinese? Do you know Vietnamese? Do you know Cambodian? No! Why? Because it's in another alphabet of non-Latin origin. Russians as well as Arab "businessmen" (ha-ha-xha)have settled in Thailand ..... -
Thailand's Immigration Launches Automated Passport Control
Paris333 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Congratulation to Thai Prime Minister Mr.Setha on the initiative.Τhis is a step forward in technology! When the automatic passport control machines were used by Thai citizens they were good and now they are bad for foreigners? Anyone who doesn't want to use them can just queue up and wait for the passport control visa. In video the passenger has green color diplomatic passport and it is in USA airports. -
Gongratulation to Thai Prime Minister Mr Srettha : Thailand Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin quashed rumours about inviting Chinese police to patrol the nation’s tourist hotspots. The clarification comes in light of a recent uproar following remarks from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) regarding such an arrangement. PM Srettha, during a visit to San Francisco, revealed that the country’s interest lies solely in collaborating with Chinese police for information exchange about potential criminal networks in Thailand. Such a move is aimed at bolstering the confidence of Chinese tourists visiting the country. The 61 year old Thai PM categorically stated that no Chinese police personnel would be stationed in Thailand. Congratulations to the Thai Police for the crime suppression measure. In addition, all foreigners who are aggressive against law enforcement agencies should be banned from entering the Kingdom for 5 years. I am from Greece and every day we see criminal gangs attacking the police and judicial authorities forbidding the police to use weapons. In Britain, police officers surrender their weapons because the judiciary forbids them to use weapons. Opinion It is time to abolish the death penalty in Thailand
Paris333 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Two mistakes make one right! Thailand not do it because the crime rate will be high, like USA -EU States. -
You need to take vitaminD 2.000IU daily because our body can not absorb 2.000IU so you can estimate to absorb 1.000IU -1500IU.But I dont understand Thailand is sunshine country and our body produse vitaminD in the sun........ I suggest you to take : Bone support vitamin with K2 -Magnesium -Omega-3-and VitaminC which elderly people need 3.000 mg daily ......so you can estimate our body to absorb 1.500mg -2.000mg vitamin C in the best case! If you take vitamins do not drink water 2 hours before/after meals in order our body to absorb them.An orange has little quantity of vitamin C about 5mg so our body absorb 0.5mg -1mg.

Look in Greece the Swedes and Germans as well as Britains come and buy old properties in coastal villages for €18,000 as a Britain did a month ago. He repaired the stone two-storey house like a maisonette, changed the wooden floors etc. and now he has a new house with €30.000 while another Swedish bought six thousand square meters of land with a house and about 100 olive trees. He repaired it and built a big swimming pool and he will stay permanently in Greece. In Thailand he would want more than €300.000 for 100 square meters of house. Condo in Thailand? No thanks!........

Laparoscopic surgery in women is much cheaper in Greece if you are treated in a private clinic. You can see the official list of charges where the first column is the cost in public hospitals and the second in private hospitals. Doctors in Thailand overcharge. You can change your 12w led with 5w led day light 750 lumen (150 lumen/watt) but pay attention at the dimension because I have installed on my saloon. The dimension is 5 cm diameter / 5.8 cm hight. I have installed them in the concealed lighting in the living room of my house for over 2 years in Greece. Perfect /excellent and they are very economic in electricity consumption. Barclays Bank to close UK accounts for British expats
Paris333 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Banks in the European Union formally require depositors to update their personal data every year according to the law. This means that depositors submit to the Banks all their tax information and the Tax Return of each year. Ηave you heard Communist of New York? This is Russia European States! -
I went myself to open a bank account because I stayed in the Kingdom of Thailand for 2 years and the bankers asked me for a work card. I had a problem because my work was undeclared so I went to Malaysia and I opened bank account where the company I worked for send monthly my money. The problem is not that I didnt want to pay taxes in Thailand but I didnt want to pay for pansions and insurances because I am healthy and all these things is like a bubble bull sh.... in ears of westerners. This is an anachronistic bureaucracy in Thailand. I wish you every success in your effort to approach your family in Thailand.
