Thai man flees after assaulting girlfriend and killing her lover
Phil1964 replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
That's a lengthy excuse / alibi for the thug, Sor who did this. Perhaps it could be easier for Sor to try repeating, "What did you expect? After all I am Thai"? 😊🤔🤫🫣 -
3 months or 6 months visa issued on arrival. (With 6 months subject to showing proof of a basic level of financial means to stay in Thailand, eg: 50USD / day on account).. Immigration to do a better job of filtering out and / or turning around criminals arriving on passenger flight lists.

Thai police officers face bankruptcy with debt over 300 billion baht
Phil1964 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Waiting for Big Joke to back up this big joke of a sob story to justify more and bigger brown envelopes and extortion rackets for numerous police officers to 'indulge' themselves in! -
Big Joke faces 2 charges over financial links to gambling operators
Phil1964 replied to anchadian's topic in Thailand News
Only Thailand could have a chief of fuzz openly known by the nickname of Big Joke. Pity over here we can't have Rishi Sunak openly known as PM Bad Joke for starters! -

You're right. But at least here we don't give false smiles to pretend we like farangs!! -
Unruly British man goes berserk on Bangkok-London flight (video)

But wasn't he arrested on arrival back in the UK? So he'll get a 1 month suspended sentence, fine of £100 for punching the airline steward and a collection of Man U DVDs of the post Fergie years to watch on repeat for 7 days as his proper punishment!! 🤣🤣 -
Family feud over billion-baht legacy rocks northern Thailand
Phil1964 replied to snoop1130's topic in Isaan News
What Thais fighting over money, gold and an inheritance, I never, really! Who'd have thought? Thailand one big soap opera of false smiles, greed and avarice washed down with a nod, (and a Yai), to Buddha for redemption. -

Those peaceful, considerate smiley Thais yet again.. Freakin' psychos. -

Hopefully! Confiscate his passport. Put a block on The Passport Office issuing a new one to the idiot. Register them on airline's block lists. I'd say for 20 years so his holiday choices are extremely limited. Might be a lesson to others intent on causing trouble and / or even endangering lives of other passengers and airline crews. -
Thai emission laws transform: What drivers need to know
Phil1964 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
1st you need a police force and civil service that is not totally riddled with corruption and no accountability. Mind you not that those of us in the UK can comment seeing as our police authorities are found to be sadly lacking in transparency and integrity in many areas. -

Bank statements for UK spouse visa
Phil1964 replied to killblues's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
Download bank statements in pdf format from the bank's website. These will download in the 'traditional' bank statement format that you used to get in the post, complete with name, address, postcode and account number / type. Nationwide Bank, UK, don't make it easy navigating their site to get such a statement in pdf form, but the facility is there as I've done it for the visa purpose. -
TAT Proposes Extended Visa-Free Stays to Boost Tourism
Phil1964 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
At last some nod to parity and 'fairness' in relation to visitor visas and duration of stay for other tourists from some of Thailand's traditional visitor / customer base, (UK, North America, Western Europe). However, while flights from Europe and the UK are still expensive to SE Asia, unless you fancy the Chinese airline routes with layovers, I see the market being limited to well off, free spirited early retirees in good health. Yes there's lots of these around, but also they do have plenty of choice in where to overwinter and cheaper flight costs for how to get there! But overwintering away from UK winters, politics and the high cost of basic living these days, somewhere sunny and cheaper than here, (ie: UK), does appeal to me. 😊 -

Absolutely correct. My Thai Mrs and her 11 year old daughter both explode without warning, zero build up, zero empathy or regards to safety. Never seen such a lack of personal self-control in people. I asked other farangs of their experiences with their Thais and sure enough apart from one of them, they all admitted to enduring dangerous episodes of Thai psychosis in the female form! -
Thailand aims to become Asian aviation hub, says prime minister

Porn Hub. That's deffo on it's list of 'achievements'! 🤔😂 -
FFS Thailand move on. We live with it now. Still anything adverse about Thailand quells the Chinese hordes from visiting! Oops, but there's a vital revenue stream for your economy, or so it would seem. Tomorrow's headline, "TAT reviews Chinese visitor numbers in light of covid battles".

Was awful to get to get around Phuket when I visited in 2018. Even more of an incentive NOT to visit now the Soviets and their corrupt money has turned up.

Thais and Chinese to travel visa-free, starting March 1
Phil1964 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
You forgot to add that middle class Chinese with money are prefering to visit places where there's a 1,000 times more culture and things to see other than Thailand's basic offering of temples and girlie bars, plus some nice beaches.. -
