2nd hand motorcycle: older but well-known brand vs newer Bajaj or GPX bike
30k, so 2nd. Think I'd stick Honda, Yamaha, as most popular, so should be plenty to chose from, along with no issue with parts & repair, if needed. Looking on FB Marketplace, and 30k doesn't get much, unless older. Not sure you want to go far on smaller bike. older

EV Concerns EVs On Fire
Better shopping skills get you a better price. Been told 7k to 25k. UP2U which policy you take. Or, no policy at all. Nobody has hit my cars in over 20+ yrs. Not once. Yes, agree, any high price is nothing but a scam. The EV is made so much better, simply to protect the battery bank, and will survive a much harder hit than comparable ICEV .... IMHO

Solar panel tech breakthrough generates electricity from rain
You'd be surprised how much the panels produce when overcast, or even during a lite rain. Also, no sun, not that hot, so ACs not running as much.

Favorite source/product for hamburger buns in Thailand?
I was referring to emulsifier (Distilled monoglycerides), having a short, 1 yr, shelf live. Use so little, I'd have a hard time using it all up. We freeze bread & rolls a lot, as fresh homemade, no preservatives won't last long. Usually a loaf is gone in a day or so, but sometimes not so fast. Depends on mood. Freeze flat bread mostly, as make too much at once. Use instead of tortillas, as not a really a fan of.

Steak for cooking at home
Nah, more control with skillet. Reverse sear or sous vid, if patient, but results are about the same. I've done all 3. Reverse sear, when patient (rare), skillet are 1st & 2nd choice. Don't Sous Vid anymore, no real benefit, and takes too long.

Steak for cooking at home
You making roast beef, or a new way of braising ... ???? F F S, it's a steak. Heat up the skillet (me-cast iron), put the damn steak in, turn every 1 minute, until internal temp is reaching (~50°C). Rest 5 mins. DONE

Car fire: Luxury vehicle bursts into flames on Bhumibol Bridge, family escapes unharmed
If an EV fire, that would be the headliner, along with 5 repeating threads of the same. Extinguished in 30 minutes should be another clue ... ???? I don't think Thai firefighters ride around with EV fire blankets.

More Americans say Supreme Court is too conservative
Theoretically, they don't have to play politics to keep the job. Why it is the way it is. Once there, they can rule, as the Constitution dictates. That's why they are vetted and there is a confirmation hearing, to make sure they and past ruling were within the Constitution. All this done be elected officials, and why I always state, any problems, and it's the voters fault, since most don't pay attention, are ignorant, and or borderline stupid (I'm being kind), and you get what you vote for. Who has the best commercial seems to be their deciding factor. Along with this thinking, yet people ignore it:

16th retirement extension Non-O but Thai wife has spent my 800k.
Agent ... or take the hint & start packing. You're no longer become any priority to her to keep around. You may want to check your chanote on any land you/she owns, to see if she borrowed against it.

... and ? That's why the SCOTUS justices have job for life. They interpret and rule via the Constitution. Did you read the ruling that set aside Roe vs Wade decision. It did not ban abortions. Simple gave that power back to 'the people' of the states.

EV Concerns EVs On Fire
You're not really trying to compare the energy used (carbon footprint) to produce batteries vs the energy used to drill, refine/produce & transport fossil fuels, as that would really be silly. Aside from the pollution ICEV contribute every time they're used. And apparently only EV batteries, as all other production is fine with the anti EV'ers. Just seems the EVs are the Devil's invention. Ride a scooter behind an EV and a petrol/diesel vehicle, and get back to me which one you think is the worst. Or just stand on any busy metro, and suck it all in ... nuff said.

Favorite source/product for hamburger buns in Thailand?
Helpful ... ???? ... unfortunately, not available everywhere, but will agree, brioche seems to be the favorite & recommended quite often, on YT cooking channels. Not available where I am, so I answered the question ... ... "what's your hamburger bun of choice here and where do you buy them from?"

Makro burger rolls. I make my own bread, but a bit heavy for rolls. Can get additive to make softer, but shelf in short, and doubt if I'd use before expiring, I think.

EV Concerns EVs On Fire
Obvious airline aren't going to tell you how many oops they've had, as would scare everyone. Another silly apples & orange comparison. On topic, EV fires, and I'll take the insurance companies stats, as probably the most accurate. ... "There were 1529.9 fires per 100k for gas vehicles and just 25.1 fires per 100k sales for electric vehicles." ... nuff said Dog

Those looking for real American Cheese vs cheese products, then this is the only one I've found in TH. Tasty, OK, not NewYorker but will due. Schreiber actually use to be the cheese supplier of many fast food chains & restaurants, until bean counter went with cheap cheese products. Even staggered stacked, so if working the sandwich bar or grill, peeling off slices is easy. Schreiber melts good on sandwiches, or use for a cheese sauce. Comes in white (real color of Am Ch) or yellow, for optics ???? @ Makro 980 baht, and have never seen the white & yellow on display at same time. Both taste exactly the same.

EV Concerns EVs On Fire
Can only speak from experience, but our EV has no issues with inclines, and just back from very hilly, steep roads, which the ICE version of, would not have performed as well. The difference in power & performance is mind boggling. You really have to own one or test drive to appreciate the difference. OK, I checked ... wt 1290 vs 1570, ICE vs EV

EV Concerns EVs On Fire
Kms & age is going to be a bit irrelevant, considering the possible leak & igniting points from to to combustion of an ICE vs no flammable liquid being moved on an EV. No need to be the sharpest tack in the box to realize one has more potential of a fire over the other. 'oil worker' ... hmm ????
