  1. ditto for you anti EV'er. Except we speak of experiences. Bye Bye
  2. No confirmation at all, and completely disagree with your apples & oranges comparison. Have a nice day
  3. My food processor only cost 700 baht. Philips, maybe Makro or HomePro sold it. Makes great PB & will make bread, plus everything else it's suppose to. Have made bread with it, but use the stand mixer now. Food processor (you have) does the same thing. You don't need a specific machine, and why buy one that only does 1 task?
  4. disagree, and years means nothing. It's cycles, and how many kms you put on it, how you charge and maintain.
  5. For some reason 1200 cycles rings a bell in head. I get about 90kms per cycle, so 100k+ kms, before any real noticeable degradation, ball park.
  6. My DECO battery is about 22 months old, and hasn't missed a beat. Doubt if it degraded much, if at all. I expect many more years out of it, and may even outlast me. Experience wins over the bar stool theories.
  7. that wouldn't be a similar bike ... except it might have had 3 wheels. DECO Family 3 Battery Type LITHIUM Battery Battery Capacity 60v/20Ah Just another EV hit piece, and starting to get quite embarrassing
  8. didn't watch, but just the optics, isn't an average anyone, anywhere, that I've ever been.
  9. the source of that little tidbit would be ?
  10. 91 is now 37.5 ish, and actually went up a whole 1 baht or more while we are out & about the past 10 ish days. I usually use 35 baht, when making posts. Just before we left on O&A, I used 36+ baht, and now it's 37.5 ish, and saw it as high as 37.83.
  11. You buy your auto based on the name of ... ???? ... who doesn't like Dolphins ?
  12. Make a law, stating ... laws have to be enforced ... ... more than enough already. Laws here are about as useful as that helmet in the basket of the scooter when you are crashing.
  13. @GammaGlobulin didn't read replies, I use this recipe. Shouldn't need to add oil, but if so, slowly add 'peanut' oil, or and neutral flavored oil. Salt to taste if wanting. I buy roasted peanuts at Makro, 500gr / 49 baht last time. If roasted, that's easy enough to do. I get the shelled, peeled & roasted. Just the nuts, and I do 250gr at a time, when gone, make another batch. @ 5 min into vid:
  14. I would give the city a pass, but that's us. Countryside can be nice, big lake, some hills. Khmer ruins, wats, if into those, If haven't peeked; pictorial
  15. I waited till my extension was due, and both done at same time. Or your next 90 day, which ever comes first.
  16. Actually himself, for stupidity. Aside from that ... ... try to keep up with current events ????
  17. Getting kick out of your job, makes you politician of the year ... ... Holy Buddha ... ????
  18. Zinger no longer available, and now a chicken burger for 49 baht. I'd rather pay the extra 15 ish baht for the Zinger. Won't be getting the Chicken burger again ... nuff said.
  19. 1. Pollution, seas, and Air pollution, (location dependent), but impossible to escape, countrywide. Some areas a solid 6 months, others, 2 ish months, & mostly < 100 AQI 2. Limited pet friendly hotels 3, Most Thai food at restaurants, so lots of home cooking 4. Stores stock a little of everything, but not everything of anything 5. Noise pollution
  20. 1. no RE Taxes 2. COLA go further here than USA (bad USA = good TH) 3. Close to CH for all things, especially; Solar & EVs 4. Accessible & inexpensive healthcare 5. Inexpensive out & abouts Honorable mention, easy visa requirements & Imm dealings, (apparently location dependent), but Nong Khai, Udon Thani, PKK ????
  21. 35 million tourist ... sure hope he's wrong, as too many already.
  22. I wouldn't, as I enjoy TH's infrastructure. ... why I never did the Vientiane to Luang Prabang thing ... definitely not Cambo or Myanmar ... Nam would be the only one to consider, but watched Paddy Doyle VT first couple days there, and he had to wait for 3 landslides to be cleared while scooting around. Looked lovely, like TH, but he did note the lack of better infrastructure. ... Muzzy countries, no interest in, as I'll offend someone sooner or later. They all come off as same same, not that different, so why bother. Have no desire to deal with airports/check ins/limited luggage allowance/sitting on plane for hours/taxis. I like self driving, with all my toys. I'm 'long distance' travelled out. Did that, got the hats, as not a t-shirt person. Worked for airlines, so always, almost, travelled 1st class, and I just can't deal with the back of the bus. Got spoiled. There ain't no place worth visiting that I'd pay 1st class fare for to see.
  23. 1. use to, good memories. Still chit chat with wife #2 on FB 2. EU, no thanks, but if had to, somewhere to see aurora borealis 3. Neither, but gun to my head, Nepal
  24. Usually takes minimal research to sort out the fakes. If something expensive, buy from manufacturer, or authorized resellers 'they link you to' ... not really rocket science.
