  1. My only point here is, as I read through the threads and posts on this site I can't help but to notice there's a lot of disdaining rhetoric toward Asean's scattered throughout, I see a lot of it in Asean countries as well in a form as bullying mostly coming from those from a certain part of the globe.
  2. Sorry, for whatever reason I forgot and thought you were leaving on the 9th. since you're leaving on the 30th you have plenty of time, start it today. I scraped my visa application because the time frame was getting too narrow and decided that I'll just deal with it there.
  3. You need to acquire your visa before you can apply for the COE. You'll be cutting it close, to close for my comfort. At least 2 weeks or so for the visa, and then COE process. Going in exempt a possibility? Get extensions. Read through the forums weed out the miss info and DIY, it easier than it looks. Or go to a visa shop in BKK or CM, starting at about ฿3000 + ฿1900 for each visa they work on for you.
  4. I sincerely and humbly apologize for being so presumptuous. I had no idea you were culturally proficient in the complexities of the formation differences of the Thai language. My bad, I just assumed that Thai’s and even other national’s that grew up in a different cultural language scape have the same difficulties deciphering languages that I have when I go venturing abroad, knowing by applied experience, that learning and having full comprehension of the BKK Thai language one may have start at an early age. In comparison, I find translating simplified Chinese to English a breeze, rarely are there any miss communications and the language formations are somewhat similar, unlike Thai, I imagine they struggle with language translations just as much as anyone else even after years of schooling and living in a foreign land. same-same, right?
  5. This statement is indicative of narrow mindedness and barely archives a level of intelligence that's capable of understanding it's own lack thereof.
  6. I'm sure the requirements are same in the UK as in the USA consulates. You need to provide both doses. It's possible they want to be sure the doses were not administered too far apart and done in a timely manner.
  7. 15 calendar days to complete the second step. After you get your vax card after the 9th, start the first phase, then the second phase after the the 15th. You'll have plenty of time, don't sweat it.
  8. No, as long as you have everything in order and depending on the consulate it will take about 3 days if you don't get any rejection notices. About a week if you get one or two rejects, assuming that you can fix the errors. Some here are reporting speedy turnaround time with their consulates. At the time I did mine, I got a responses from the LA consulate within a day with each submission. I'm sure if things start to pick up, then it may take longer. May I mine you, there are two phases. Do not start the second phase until 15 days before you arrive in TH. When you complete the pre approval process you will get a notice/email or check it online stating that you have it "pre-approved your registration/application for COE" After you receive this notice DO NOT start the COE application process, DO NOT login out of curiosity before the 15 day mark, 15 days to the second. There is a 15 day/0 hours/0 minutes/0 seconds countdown timer when you login there. This is why it's suggested to wait to complete the pre approval process first, then make you booking after the approval notice.
  9. I read through this thread and all I can get out of it is that there's a lot of ignorance and narrow mindedness. It's a different culture, it's theirs ("They" as some of you address) and it belongs to them. Respect it and be apart of it, or get over it. Makes me wonder about a lot of the foreigners. I'm one of the They people. come here with my silly cultural ways, I probably look a bit goofy - silly - and I hear..."why you do like dat!? ahh?! One of the most annoying things I experience here, is how some foreigners treat the locals in a disdainful bullying manner. And it does BLANK-A-DI-BLANK ME OFF TO SEE IT!!
  10. My COE was approved 26 hours after I started the 2nd phase/approval process. The process time on their end will most likely depend on how busy and how well staffed the consulat is.
  11. I got 30 day with AXA, the insurance certificates were in my inbox within seconds. After I arrive I'll acquire less expensive insurance in country, and it will take awhile to get the certificate though surly by the time AXA terminates. I always book directly with the airlines, more flexibility and easier to manage rescheduling and cheaper in the long run. Internet agencies are a PTA at times, never again for me. I booked my flights on a 30 day turn-around and will reschedule the return once I'm in country. There's 2 phases of the COE process. 1st phase is the confirmation phase. During this phase you'll have however long it takes to get your doc's in order and accepted. Once the consulate confirms that you are eligible to apply you'll be on to the 2nd phase. The 2nd phase is the actual application for the COE, this is where you have 15 days to complete the application process. If you think you might have issues then don't start it until you're ready and you'll be departing in two weeks. Whenever you login you'll see a countdown timer. So it's advise that you're prepared. When I started the process I was a bit under the gun to get it done, though it's simple enough. It can take up to 3 days for them to get back to you for each submission, though typically 1 day. Example: you make a submission, they reject it for 2 or 3 reasons, then you fix it and resubmit it, potentially you're already 6 days in the process by the time they get back to you depending how busy the consulate is. During the 2nd phase whenever/if ever there's a problem with a submission it will be rejected for up to 15 days, if you're not confirmed by that time then you're out. The more mistakes or oversight someone has during the process, the longer it will take.
  12. If you're flying into Singapore to get to Phuket, then you'll need the PCR 48 hours before first departure. 72 hours before first departure to HKT. It's an imperative to know what the advisements and requirements are for each leg of the itinerary. Schedule and payment for 2 PCR's on the PSAS site. 1st at HKT, 2nd one (day 6 or day 7) at a site of your choice. I chose a place closest to my accommodation, first thing in the morning.
  13. I'm just going to leave everything as is since I already hove the COE certificate. I don't want to risk mucking things up since I only have a few days left before I cut on out of here. My only loss will possibly be about $150USD, considering that most places I've stayed at in TH have refunded for nights not stayed if I didn't stay the entire duration of the booking, though Phuket might be different.
  14. Well, I'm fully vaccinated, have a SHABA for 14 days and a COE certificate, my 2nd PCR for clearance is on the 7th day, the day I plan on splitting off to CM.
  15. Yes, for now. Start the COE process, 3 or 4 week before you plan your return. Do the first phase, getting approved. You'll get an email stating whether you have been approved or not. If you have not been approved then go into the site and do the edits (the yellow button) where you load all the required documents. Then after you get approved, no earlier than 15 days before you arrive in TH, go back into the coethailand.mfa.go.th site and start the second phase of the COE, because once you begin the second phase you only have 15 days to complete it and you'll have a lot of time to book the flight and such. Unlike me, I booked my flight first because I thought it would be a breeze, though the last couple of days I was beginning to sweat some bullets, a week out is too close for me. Thankfully for those who fallow, there's a lot of discussion in this forum with different experiences.
  16. Why wouldn't they approve it with a 14 day booking? My apologies, I don't quite understand the question ???? They did approve the COE. I booked for 14 days, doesn't mean I have to stay that long( I assume). I'm just out about 21 bucks a day that I don't stay and I just wanted to get this thing wrapped up ASAP so I could move on with my life. Chances are, I'm flying out the day of the second PCR clearance, which is first thing in the morning of the 7th day. There's no clear step by step documentation for the full process, just a simple basic summary. Not too bad though.
  17. That actually occurred to me, but I wasn't sure what to make of it. For me, it seems easier to decipher translated Thai to English in CM than it is with a some of the mangled stuff I got from the Thai consulate in LA. It might be an adaptive thing on my part.
  18. Yes, I got a notice stating that I can update by hitting the red Confirm/Edit travel button, but I don't want to touch it because I'm afraid it might mess something up. If I cut out of there to CM after the first 7 days, then it's only about a $150USD loss
  19. Well nevermind. The email I got stating that the COE was rejected just a notice of a possibility I guess, though it through me in a bit of panic, with so little time left Just got the "Royal Thai Consulate-General, Los Angeles has approved your COE to enter Thailand." though the process wasn't any fun. The next go-around should be a breaz though
  20. The first line... "Royal Thai Consulate-General, Los Angeles has rejected your registration/application."
  21. After I did the CoE Pre-approved I submitted the following documents Submitted all flight details. Input the reference number from the SHABA certificate that the hotel sent Upload the PSAS PCR booking receipt. (submitted the receipt with the QR code on the sheet) Insurance documents were already in from the first phase then I got a rejected notice stating: "Royal Thai Consulate-General, Los Angeles has rejected your registration/application. Due to Good news!! FYI, from October 1st, 2021 onwards, the traveler who is going to Thailand with fully vaccinated will be quarantined only 7 nights, but for the traveler who unvaccinated will be quarantined at AQ hotel for 10 nights. If you are thinking that you still have time to change your hotel booking pls change, but if it too rush! You can ask the hotel to refund including RT-PCR Test receipt after you have arrived. Thank you" It really doesn't specify what I did wrong, or am I missing something? I am fully vaccinated and submitted the docs on the first phase Submitted the flight details I booked for 14 nights And I paid for the PCR tests. There must be something wrong with my booking, but I don't see it. My flight leaves 13 of October and am starting to get panicky. I just don't see what I did wrong here, any help would be greatly appreciated
