Obviously you never been there or didn’t bother to talk to anyone. When the question is posed to Chinese citizens to differentiate between the US and China-the answer is almost always nearly the same- a robotic cookie cutter assimilated response “China is a communist country. America is a capitalist country.” It’s been drilled into their mind frame that the US wants to invade China and go to war, the propaganda there is so insidious, the mindset is nearly organic. You really need to get out more and civilly converse with others that are completely different than yourself, then perhaps a better understanding of the world will come to light.

Go live there for a couple years and spend time outside of the cities, and while you’re at it try protesting against the government and report back and let us know about the experience. It’s a horrendous place for the commoners there. It most certainly is a communist state.
