+1, censoring individuals harmless personal views and opinions short of verbal abuse and threats, is nothing more than an attempt of thought formation. Though maintaining civility should be paramount, losing composure over others ideas is a bit silly, though it does have its entertainment value at times. If one doesn’t like what they read, then just move on to something else, sorta like reading the newspaper or a television program, just move on.

Moderation should be purely neutral and without bias, though unfortunately it isn’t always the case. Some forum members are easily offended by the smallest things that brush up against their ideology, sense of superiority or how their world view is formed whether broad or narrow and others are not bothered at all. Not sure if perfection is attainable, though oversight and education in the management can certainly get close to it.

Don’t need loud music, tattoos, have prejudice towards others, have to swear a lot due to limited vocabulary, get drunk in order to converse with others and have a cave dweller haircut in order to have a well rounded healthy social life. Nan is a small city, typical northern town. Not highly populated as far as the residents though it can get pretty crowded during loy krathong and Christmas. Been dragged there by the wife during both occasions and finding a room was challenging given that sometimes she gets a wild hair up the yingyang and “we go now!” idea to a tourist joint. Personally I prefer being there when it’s not flooded with tourists.
