While illegal in Thailand, but legal in most other countries, many people have turned to vaping as a way to stop smoking cigarettes.
Vaping IS safer than smoking cigarettes. But only if used short-term to help stop smoking.
This does NOT mean vaping is safe.
Medical science has proved this with repeated peer-reviewed scientific testing. Vaping can lead to a condition called 'Popcorn Lung,' and only takes a few years of vaping to create the problem.
Use the vape to break cigarette addiction, but then wean yourself off the vape.and another fake news poster......the popcorn lung myth was debunked years ago. Do some actual research before posting drivel.

Presumably you mean Krungsri Biz online account? And I take it that one will need to have an existing bona fide business account with Krungsri in order to be able to open a second one for personal use?
and pay the requisite fees

To be quite honest, change your bank to Kasikorn or SCB before you leave. Those are modern banks. Krungthai and Krungsri are old-style banks. They probably even use manual typewriters still. I've used SCB for many years. Their online app is very good.
Utter rubbish

What it should say is that the number of working age people learning how to scam the system and claim PIP has risen to 23% from 18% 10 years ago. My waste of space SIL is now claiming PIP for agrophobia although he works as a part-time shop fitter and cannabis dealer, YCMTSU!

Facebook marketplace is a great place to sell, sold golf clubs and a motorbike, of course some tyre kickers but not a big deal
FBMP is a total sham it is completely unregulated and full of scammers, resellers and time wasters. Yes you may get lucky and sell your goods but for every genuine interested enquiry you'll get 20 idiots wasting your time or even some Thai No Mark copying your Ad and photo's and reposting with a 10% mark-up.

There is a cute little gecko that must have been in my apartment now for at least a few weeks.
Ocasionally I see it on the kitchen counter, but then it scurries into corners .... out of sight.
They are fast. So how to catch it without harming it?
I just want to let it loose outside.
They are harmless, right? It won't crawl into my ear at night and eat my brains?
Yeh, they're harmless they just breed like rabbits and sh*t everywhere

Its stems from the need to have the labor force semi coherent and going to work rather than sitting around pissed all day. Its not effective but gives the Thai appearance of doing something which is normal
If that's the case why is it illegal from 2pm to 5pm and not 11am to 2pm (lunchtime)?

If the item is so impotant then get it sent by courier, yes a bit expensive but received in 4 days and fully traceable, alternatively get it sent by royal mail registered post usually arrives in one week and can be tracked so you always know where it is.

And this just shows the pathectic mentality level of the average Thai! arguing that B2000 is too high a price to pay for breaking the law but B400 to B500 is okay. God help this country because Buddha's thrown the towel in.
To the average Thai person who gave a thumbs down, thank you for proving my point regarding your mentality!!

You've not mentioned how the wife and her cousin are going to pay you back the 3 million, so one can only assume it will be from the sale of the existing property. If that is the case and the existing property has more than 3 million in equity then they could get a secured loan from the bank to purchase the new property.

I don't believe that is the only viable option, there seems to be plenty of other options, for example, using a financial advisor will limiting the tax payable, as mentioned above, opening offshore accounts may help with dealing with TRD and HMRC, along with international SIPPS may suit my purpose.
Ok believe what you want, if you think you can sort it out from Thailand good luck.

You only really have one viable option to get this properly sorted and that is get on a plane back to the UK, use your parents address as your UK residential address and arrange to meet with a reputable pension advisor (not a financial advisor)

CIGNA policies offer $1 million PER YEAR in coverage. Do self-insurers set aside that much?
How many people can you name that needed to claim $1 million in a year, even in the US the average annual claim is less than $600 per year, go figure.

And you do that with all insurances? Car, house, sports, loss of income..
Some insurances' are mandatory the rest are optional.

Who cares? When you self insure, you don't buy insurance, but instead set aside cash of at least the same amount of the insurance policy maximum coverage.
Certainly a winning strategy if you can comfortably afford to set aside that much cash.
Even better if you stick that cash in to investments, which is exactly what the health insurance companies do with your premiums.
