  1. Just about everything I search for gets this result: Is it my PC? (Just got a Windows Update). Anyone else have this problem?
  2. Go to their shop, tell them you want to cancel. That might make them do something.
  3. I still haven't changed from Adblock on Chrome on my Windows 10 (busy sorting out my XP PC ) but I thought I'd tell you all about the "Adblock Browser" on my Android phone. It's brilliant! I can actually use the phone to post this message with NO, Zero, Zilch, ads getting in the way! In fact, I haven't seen any, let alone "getting in the way"!
  4. I've heard of that one! ublock vs adblock vs adguard... https://www.cloudwards.net/best-pop-up-blockers/ Looks like ublock origin wins (Unless you want to pay 1,000 baht per year).
  5. While waiting for some replies - thanks very much! - I installed AdBlocker because I was desperate to get rid of the d**n adverts, but I couldn't pay for it. I was going to give them $5 but I didn't receive the OTP on my phone (or an email) even though the number they showed was my number. But still it got installed and works great. Any reason why you guys prefer AdGuard? I've not heard of it until now.
  6. Yes, I've heard good things about Brave, but a little wary of using it as I don't know if it'll use all the bookmarks, etc, that I currently have in Chrome. I suppose I'd better start Googling about it. (A little joke. Very little.)
  7. Here's my package: Perhaps I should pay them a visit?
  8. I mistakenly reset something in my Chrome browser, after Googling a problem that I had and did what I was told to do. Now I get all the ads! Help, please!
  9. 3BB in Phuket... a little disappointing. I also have a TV running "Pulse-TV" - an Internet TV service - but I don't know how much bandwidth it uses. So I paused it for a few minutes before testing again. The result was slightly worse! ???? (I also have 2 PCs running, but they are not doing much that I am aware of.) With TV on: With TV paused:
  10. I've been watching it on the BBC for hours. Choking up a little bit. ????
  11. I did that, but the problem is still there. Also, when I click on the "Heart" icon, all I get is "Like". There used to be "Sad", "Laugh", etc. But not any more. Very frustrating.
  12. When I go to YouTube I can see the comments: If I click on the down arrow in front of "1 REPLY", I get a blank screen with "youtube.com/null" as the address: Anyone know how to fix this?
  13. He confirmed what I quoted earlier: https://piv-phuket.com/long-stay-extensions/retirement/ Of course, I will check at the beginning of November if anything has changed.
  14. I quoted the web site - that's as official as I can get. Actually, I was thinking of going to the Immigration office in Phuket and asking them about it. Maybe I will today - I'm getting really bored. FYI, the rule has worked for me for the last two years - no insurance required.
  15. "where any bunch of armed FBI agents can break in and find them" There, fixed it for you.
  16. My thoughts, too. ???? But thanks anyway. The pile is getting bigger...
  17. I don't want to leave all these old shopping bags out for the dustman. I suppose I could put them in a big plastic bag like I do already for old glass, plastic and metal containers. But I was wondering if there was another worthy cause that would like them. They are fairly clean and new, mostly used just once or twice. Any suggestions?
  18. I live in Phuket, fortunately. From here: https://piv-phuket.com/long-stay-extensions/retirement/ "From October 2020 an medical insurance is required for every retirement extension if it is based on a original Non-OA visa (Issued at the Thai Embassy in your home country) following the criteria explained below than it has to be shown and included in the extension based on retirement. – If the Non-OA visa from your home country is issued In or BEFORE 2017 then the health insurance is NOT required for your extension. – If the Non-OA visa from your home country is issued in 2018 or later but the last entry date is before 1 October 2019 then the health insurance is NOT required for your extension. – If the Non-OA visa from your home country is issued in 2018 or later but the last entry date is AFTER 1 October 2019 then the health insurance is IS required for your extension." I obtained the 400k/40k health insurance, and presented the certificate (with all the other O-A renewal documents) to the Immigration Officer who stands outside the Immigration Office in Phuket and whose job it is to check all the documents. For the last two years he has given me back the Health Insurance document. My renewal was processed as normal.
  19. Nice shiny new regulators arrived today: A job for tomorrow. ????
  20. Actually, I don't think he's still there - that was 10 years ago, before the underpass was built! I can't find the place using Google Earth.
  21. Glad to see this topic is still open and not archived. The same garage as my post above (Hok Liam) just returned my pickup after changing the alternator. The alternator itself was badly corroded but the main problem was the cable between it and the engine - the insulation was dissolving (oil drips?) and caused 3 lights to come on, on the dashboard. The cable was also very hot - probably shorting out - and its connector virtually welded to the alternator. Just under 6,000 baht.
  22. It just failed for me: Edit: I just deleted the AliExpress tab in Chrome, clicked on the URL (https://trade.aliexpress.com/orderList.htm) again, and I'm already logged in! Something weird is going on with them...
