Glad to see this topic is still open and not archived. The same garage as my post above (Hok Liam) just returned my pickup after changing the alternator. The alternator itself was badly corroded but the main problem was the cable between it and the engine - the insulation was dissolving (oil drips?) and caused 3 lights to come on, on the dashboard. The cable was also very hot - probably shorting out - and its connector virtually welded to the alternator. Just under 6,000 baht.

It just failed for me: Edit: I just deleted the AliExpress tab in Chrome, clicked on the URL (https://trade.aliexpress.com/orderList.htm) again, and I'm already logged in! Something weird is going on with them...

Actually, I also have a gas cooker with a separate identical bottle. That one has "March, Sai Yuan" stuck to it on a "Post-It" sticker. I don't think that was March this year... ????

Jesus! I posted that on July 26th. I have only just managed to receive an authorisation for the withdrawal. Previous attempts by "signing" electronically an Adobe document all failed. Today I received, by email, a link to an encrypted/protected PDF document from my financial adviser's secretary. I printed out the signature page, scanned it to a .jpg file and emailed it back to her. She says that should be good enough. I bl*ddy well hope so! Talk about getting blood out of a stone!
