  1. I heard directly from a couple who were at Suvarnabhumi on a day it was taking FIVE HOURS to get thru Departures.
  2. I've gone thru a VIP (biz class) booth recently (last week) and IO there was still super-rude to me. Now, I don't expect special treatment on account of being in that line -- I'm just saying, the IO rudeness happens to biz class people too.
  3. Experienced firsthand by markclover and rose33; also reported in the Thai press. An appropriately humble response might be "I stand corrected". https://www.dailynews.co.th/news/2153666/
  4. When I lived in Australia, I usually felt I was surrounded by good men in my family and workplace. So, I had always assumed that 'misogyny' was fake, and an invention of the woke / feminist agendas. Unfortunately, living in Thailand long-term and observing SOME OF the farang men here (observing & chatting with them in public, at private social events, and reading a lot of Stickman Bangkok etc), I've had to change my opinion and sadly acknowledge that woman-hating is alive and well today. Perhaps a good topic for a fresh post here would be something along the lines of: "Does LOS attract farang misogynists, or does LOS convert (some) farang into misogynists?" OF COURSE I don't intend to include ALL farang men. There are plenty of good guys living here too ????.
  5. You're straight up calling him a liar, simply because his perceived experience is different to your perceived experience?
  6. No one here is claiming it's difficult to get a surface smile out of a Thai.
  7. I heard western prostitutes were better. They try harder and take more time with it. I heard Thai bargirls just want to get it over with ASAP and back making more money? (Because they are poorer). Are both of the above stereotypes, & in every case YMMV?
  8. Yeah, I hear you. I agree it is becoming very rare. But is that a reason to join a race to the bottom? (Pun intended ;-) ). Who is nobler: the ancestors who build something great, or the descendants who have the grit & humility to rebuild it out of smouldering ruins?
  9. I also like the 'Rabyrinth' sign for the hedge maze at one of the big parks in Thailand's second city... (Although when I think how much I struggle with all of their tones and vowels, I don't want to be too critical if my Rs and Ls sound similar to their ears...)
  10. +1 I always side with a slick website, contemporary design and smart-sounding words, over the time-tested values that my ancestors were willing to fight and die for.
  11. One of the least-thoughtful comments I've ever read on a forum.
  12. You can put it in a vagina after a bottom, but that don't make you straight.
  13. People do worry about it PRECISELY because they believe that it does have broader effects on the whole society. If it didn't affect broader society, people might be a little grossed out (cock in the poop hole!) but otherwise wouldn't care at qll. Have you ever considered that some of the stories we are constantly fed in the west.... Might be <deleted>?
  14. I am glad that I don't need to think about moral issues for myself, nor do I need take on the burden of pondering the moral direction of the society I live in, because there are mental health experts and qualified medical experts who can do all of the thinking and deciding for me. I am going to ignore all of the accumulated wisdom of humanity, like art, literature, philosophy and moral writings. (Anyone up for a book burning/deleting/censoring event?) Thank you. You have freed up so much time and energy that I can now spend on Instagram and in the Metaverse. I feel liberated & guiltless. Pass the gimp suit. Lube me up. I am free.
  15. My favourite massage place is called 'Ratree Massage'. Now I know what it means ;-)
  16. If western governments are promoting a green agenda, i.e., taxing petrol cars, plane travel, etc, then surely, following the same logic, there should be a tax benefit to those NOT becoming parents during their fertile years. (The No Baby Bonus) Slightly unequal outcomes, though, as women would get paid out at proven menopause, whereas men could only receive posthumously (and, by definition, would have no offspring to inherit). Perhaps could roll over the income tax credits and donate to a charity organisation of their choice. A further benefit of reducing the birth rate in the west, would be more housing and opportunities for new migrants. Note that a carbon tax should not be imposed on population growth caused by net immigration, as that would be racist / exploitative.
  17. The final part sounds similar to the 'sawat' is sawatdee ka/krup. Elsewhere, I heard that 'sawatdee' means 'i am giving a little piece of happiness to you'. Can this be confirmed? Thanks all ????
  18. When he did hit his 30s, I wonder how interested the straight women were in his STD-infected penis... Guys who go gay/bi in their 20s never consider that, purely for health reasons, straight women might want NOTHING to do with them in future.
  19. " How ignorant isn't that? " Ah... straight to the pool room ????.
  20. The racism against white people here is a big reason that I decided to leave.
