  1. Can't understand my Mrs. Whenever we go to a noodle restaurant she puts at least two spoonfulls of sugar in my bowl. I tell her I neither want nor need it but she persists. Does she know she's the primary benefactor on your life insurance or is she just winging it?
  2. Very simplistic. Your notion about learning from the 'real world' I mean. Your suggestion that all they do is play games and do food porn on FB is a redundant trope same as gurning about Thaksin is. There's probably more than enough generational enlightenment to go around in all the places that matter (that's only Bangkok by the way) but it probably takes more than just motivation or someone willing to die to make any change. Apart from their indolence and death not having the same cache as it has in the west, nobody's going to break a sweat or martyr themselves for change so suck it up. It is what it is (and what it will forever be).
  3. It seems he comes to your mind when I write about corruption... Yup, you still got it bad.
  4. The OP was not almost refused entry. The IO asked the usual questions, that's all. Maybe it's the stress of getting the prenupts done? You do have a prenupt?
  5. Depends how many hairs you have left, I'd rather let a barber do it for 100+, much easier It's a sad indictment of our times that the comb over that served our forefathers so well is no longer considered to be an option.
  6. Pretty gutless performance by the dashcam car, no? Can't punch down and pass a small lorry? Maybe if he took the fake plastic 'sports' grill off the hood/bonnet, he would get a few more inches per second. Looks like he was intent on following the truck at the end so he could give him a baleful stare from behind his dark tinted windows.
  7. Except your Thai born wife was doing these changes in Thailand. The procedures for the locals can be cut and dried but any similar dealings by a foreigner is fraught with the incorrect translation, letter from embassy or certified by MOFA circus. Don't the UK authorities issue some formal documentation with the before/after details of the name change by deed poll? I recall reading a fairly recent post about someone seeking advice on what's needed for Thai immigration to transfer/renew an extension when the same person is presenting their new passport with their new name (deed poll change). I recall mention of there being two official methods of doing the name change in the UK but only one provides this supporting documentation? If the OP's friend still has full control over the existing, old-name accounts, including online access, why not open new account(s) and do regular transfers from old to new accounts over a period of time?
  8. THAI? The airline?
  9. Children or teenagers? If you are not a teenager yourself, then it's EQUALLY wrong. Any suggestion that it may be more acceptable with "teenagers over 15, who likely have anyhow sex" is just plain creepy.
  10. Excellent. Someone with first hand experience with roojai. Your 2-3 months to final resolution and the need to keep badgering for progress was my wife's experience with AXA after being t-boned by a pair of underaged, uninsured and unlicensed red-light runners on a scooter. From what I have read, if nobody's hurt and if both parties have insurance and no third party has a dog in the fight, the police tend to vanish from the scene pretty quickly and the insurance resolution is a lot quicker. Thanks to the OP for raising the question.
  11. The first sentence sounds alarmingly like you are defending the indefensible. The second one could be construed as the defense offered by a potential customer. The third sentence gives us in indication of how high that horse is that you're sitting on. That and a hint of being all a bit clueless.
  12. Good luck to you and @rankric on your search to justify your shared "to good to be true" vibe. I still reckon that if any forum member had a bad experience with roojai, your question would have been blown up the motor forum ages ago. Yes, no claims beyond the excellent roadside assist a couple of times. I've been driving here since 1979 and only had one prang with a Hertz rental when I was new and inexperienced. You still seem to be on a learning curve in that regard but there's nothing to stop you trying roojai yourself. Looking at the statistics, maybe that will deliver the answer you seek a lot faster that ruminating here?
