  1. Next time put 300 baht into your passport before handing it to the offcer.
  2. I have nothing against those bloody corals, but they should first prioritize organizing a proper water supply for inmates in Thai prisons. Start treating humans in a civilized way before focusing on trees, stones, and ghosts.
  3. Which group is that? Muslims? Do they have their religion tattoed on their faces, in your opinion?
  4. Umberto Eco, in his 1995 essay "Ur-Fascism" (also known as "Eternal Fascism"), outlined 14 features or signs that define what he called "Ur-Fascism," or the foundational elements of fascism that can reappear in different forms over time. Here's a summarized version of those signs: The cult of tradition – A belief in a primordial truth, revealed once and for all, often combining different religious or philosophical traditions. The rejection of modernism – A distrust of Enlightenment rationalism, often accompanied by a rejection of progress and reason. The cult of action for action’s sake – Believing action is inherently good and should be pursued without reflection. Disagreement is treason – Critical thinking is viewed with suspicion; dissent is equated with betrayal. Fear of difference – Racism or xenophobia; fear of outsiders and minorities. Appeal to a frustrated middle class – Fascism often exploits the fears and insecurities of a struggling or declining middle class. Obsession with a plot – Belief in conspiracies, often involving an "enemy" or scapegoat plotting against the nation. The enemy is both strong and weak – The enemy is portrayed as overwhelmingly powerful, yet cowardly and weak at the same time. Pacifism is trafficking with the enemy – Life is permanent warfare; peacefulness is seen as weakness. Contempt for the weak – Elitism and disdain for the vulnerable or marginalized. Everybody is educated to become a hero – Glorification of death, martyrdom, and militarism. Machismo and weaponry – Exaggerated masculinity, violence, and control over women. Selective populism – The “people” are represented by a leader who interprets their will, bypassing institutions and pluralism. Newspeak – Use of impoverished, repetitive language to limit critical thinking and expression.

  6. They were NOT fighting “against Russia" — they were fighting against those who invaded their land, killed their people, and raped their women. They were fighting against real fascists — and that’s exactly what Putin and his regime are.
  7. Ukraine is the least neo-Nazi country in Europe — I say that from personal experience. It just goes to show how brazen and shameless Putin’s propaganda really is. Every time I see yet another Western voice parroting that grotesque lie — possibly the worst of all the horrors spewed by Kremlin propaganda — I feel a wave of shame wash over me.
  8. Enough with that tired fascist-Azov fairy tale. Even Putin’s propaganda machine has moved on from that lie — they’ve practically forgotten it themselves. Maybe it’s time you go dig up some fresh nonsense from Russia Today.
  9. A simple lesson in logic for you: All fascists are patriots Not all patriots are fascists
  10. Ukraine simply wasn't prepared for such a blatant violation of international law. The country genuinely believed that the Budapest Memorandum was more than just a piece of paper to the US and Europe. Unfortunately, it turned out to be exactly that — just a piece of paper, one that Putin wiped his KGB ass with. Now, it seems Trump intends to do the same with all international law.
  11. Quite an opposite, I expressed my view of his perspectives and those are horrible.
  12. The last thing I needed that night was an accusation of offering a bribe. And no, they do NOT "always negotiate".
  13. In my case - they used to restrict my account for several days then reopened it. It happened to my account many times. Was stressful when it happened for the first time. P.S. I used the crypto exchanges: sold my crypto and got fiat to my Thai bank account.
  14. Looks like a short rebound before going straight to hell
  15. Do they have lower crime rates in Philippines compared to Denmark? They should, according to your logic. But they do not, according to reality. Overall Crime Index (Numbeo 2024 Estimates) (Scale: 0 = very low crime, 100 = very high crime) Denmark: ~27.0 (Low) Philippines: ~45.0–55.0 (Moderate to High)
  16. You—and many others here—keep stubbornly ignoring the most interesting part of my story: the fact that my wife was interrogated by the same guy who decided I deserved to sleep on a filthy floor. He knew better than either of us that I’d end up paying less than 10k and walk free the next day. So why was a 20k bail not enough? Why did he choose to punish me anyway? Was he trying to squeeze some dirty secrets out of my wife? Or was it just another case of power abuse? I personally think - both. So here’s the real question: who’s more dangerous to society—me, with years of driving experience and not a single incident on record, after drinking 80 grams of alcohol or this power-abusing maniac in uniform?
  17. This prison is for civilized people. Thailand remains deeply rooted in barbarism. Many users on this forum also display a barbaric mindset, showing little concern for whether the punishment fits the crime. It’s as if many of them have a little Adolf Hitler inside. Sadly, this reflects a darker side of human nature—cruel, wild, and finding satisfaction in the suffering of others. These people use concepts like ‘law’ and ‘order’ as a pretext to justify their hatred toward other human beings. A forum full of spiteful old geezers.
  18. I see you have some problems with the Ukrainians. Don't want to disappoint you but I am not Ukrainian. And, by the way, the worst possible offenders on the Thai roads are actually Thais themselves. As you could see from my initial post, there were 15 locals in the cell caught for DUI and only one foreigner - me. Some of those Thais looked like they drunk a lot, unlike me.
  19. Probably human but of a very different kind, borderline human.
  20. No. The word “Thai” is much more specific than the word “farang”. You could be right if I used something like my “asian” wife.
