  1. That was my first thought ). Later, after I remembered that one of the recent transfers was en exact amount that is missing from the available balance, I changed my opinion. Anyway, will visit the bank later today and ask for the details.
  2. No, there were several transactions. Yesterday, the whole balance was "available". Now, I remember, that one of the transfers was exactly 31000 THB (the sum missing in my "available" money). It was done on 28.02. Until today it was in my available balance, though.
  3. Last week I transferred 512 000 THB to my Kasikorn Bank account. This morning, through the mobile application, I saw that my balance is shown as 481 000 and the Outstanding balance is 512 000. Can somebody explain what that could mean? See the screenshot attached.
  4. It is an integral part of the MAGA settings.
  5. I wait for the day when that Tucker clown will finally move living to this beautiful and free country.
  6. Yes, but should I try to get it on a tourist visa? Want to buy a car badly, but, probably, I have to wait until I get my retirement visa first. Or have I ?
  7. I can obtain one on a tourist visa? And where exactly can I get one?
  8. Keep on posting. The posts like this one make my mood better for a couple of days, at least. Btw, what about the benefits that numerous Thai citizens involved in the “scheme” get? Why do you count them out?
  9. Just keep sending your hard earned, already taxed savings to the Thai bank accounts. Everything together will be double taxed as a lump sum somewhere in the January 2025.
  10. The advice was appreciated. Thank you. And I have never really made what you called a “statement”. Hence the word “probably” that I used. My personal observations show that people can look at things differently. Very often, in a bizarre way. https://www.bikesrepublic.com/english/archive/10-countries-with-the-highest-proportion-motorcycle-related-deaths/
  11. Not only drunk driving, but drunk driving to death (especially on the bike) is actually quite a cultural thing here. At least, that is the conclusion I came to after witnessing dozens of those kind of deaths. Rare , very rare will you listen from a Thai person a speech condemning those stupid idiots (most of them quite young) for not taking care about their safety on the road. Sounds weird? Yes, for me and you. Possibly, the Thais treat the death itself differently than you and me, both, let me guess, hopeless atheists. But for millions of Thais it is probably one of the many ways to get a new identity and to be reborn again. Who knows? Not me. And I think not you too.
  12. My guess, many laws and regulations in Thailand are already made with the bribery potential consideration attached to them. Denying those things is actually more “illegal”, in some ways, than just conforming to them. We are guests here and should respect the local traditions (notwithstanding what we think about them from the depth of our own experience).
  13. This makes “the agency way” even more attractive in my eyes. Given everything else is equal - I myself will always prefer to go “via bribery and corruption”.
  14. Can I buy a car in Thailand on a tourist visa? I think I cannot, just asking. Same question about getting a driver license.
  15. Have you heard about those possible tax changes? The money I will bring to cover those 800.000 k requirements might theoretically be later taxed at around 20-30%. Nobody knows what exactly will happen but it is definitely a possibility.
  16. I am already in Thailand on a tourist visa from the embassy in Laos. It will end (including 1 month extension) about 2 weeks before my 50 birth date. This is why I want to know if there is a way to somehow skip those 2 weeks to avoid another trip to Vientiane. I think I will contact Maneerat quite soon. Thank you
  17. What If I have a couple of months before I turn 50? Should I wait or something can already be done?
  18. I have a bank account but prefer not to put my 800 k into it. Will an agency help me with that?
  19. Please recommend an agency that will help me obtain a retirement visa in Thailand and won't take advantage of me. Thank you in advance.
