Second online now approved, (3 days), versus 1 1/2 hours for the one lodged several minutes before. Not sure how they queue or process????
-
And even online takes up to 2 weeks to approve, according to the IMM person I spoke to this morning.
-
Rang 1111 today and gave details of the pending 90 day report. The IMM person told the that it was pending....duh. It can take up to 2 weeks to be processed, depending on the queue at the IO's computer.

Did same 2 reports online 90 days ago, both approved about the same time, so it's frustrating that their doesn't seem to be consistency in the approval process timing.
Don't know how long I should wait before sending a mail-in. It's due 9 September.
The inconsistency is so frustrating.

Yes but if you fail to report using amnesty you have to report next time in person - and for anyone who did so before July 31 they were instructed to make the in person (or have someone do) during August at MTT (for Bangkok).
Thanks. I'm on track with my reporting, (viz I have not missed any in spite of the amnesty), but I'm hoping that IMM will get on with processing the online report submitted yesterday. I really don't know how long I should wait, before making a different attempt/method, such as a mail in, which would of course not comply with the 2 weeks prior requirement; but maybe with amnesty they will overlook that.
Honestly, the whole uncertainty of this is very very tedious. The efforts to improve the processes seem to have fallen by the way side, not surprisingly.

I did 2 90 day reports online yesterday: 1 for myself and 1 for my partner. Mine was approved within 1 1/2 hours, my partner's is still pending. If I don't receive his approval do I have to trek off to Muang Thung(?), or what?
How many days should I wait? It is not due until 9 September. I would prefer not to have to go out to Muang Thung, (or whereever it currently operates).
Are 90 day reports still under amnesty, or has that expired.

Have just had my 90 day report “approved” within 20Mins of completing it online!
It did however take me many attempts to get onto the website until I remembered I was trying to connect through my permanently on VPN. Got connected at the first attempt after disabling it and doing what was outlined by “ubonjou” above. I used Microsoft Edge (new version) and the latest version (2004) of win10.Mine took an hour and a half this morning. I overrode the certificate issue.

Now that you did your 90-day report in person and are back 'regularized' again you can do your next one using the on-line website.

A quick and easy process, to be done in the 15-days before till actual due date of your 90-day report (and best to do it in the final days, as the next due date will be 90-days after submission/approval of the one you filed).
I submitted my online 90 day this morning at around 10 am and I received the approval email at around 11.30 am, (I report to CW.) I also submitted one for my partner after I completed my own, but he has not yet received his approval, (it's still pending). Anyway, I have the reference number and bar code for his, so I will wait. Again, in respect of CW.
They are both due in 15 days (from today).

Submitted my on-line report Friday last week. Been pending since then.
This morning..Thursdays..It was approved.
Go figure.
At least it's done.
In the past I've found that submitting online, or the app when it worked before, earlier in the day, and not on a Friday usually gets a quick response, (this is to CW). It's not an exact science. I'm about to do another one, so I might eat these words...

If it's lost it's colour it was pre-stained. Sorry to say you have a real problem. You either live with it or replace. You might like to try as a last resort putting Windex spray over the rest of the top and see if it'll all tone in. It'll be lighter but you'll have to live with that. Start by putting it on a bit that doesn't notice to much. On the edge maybe via a cloth. Best of luck.
N/B the Granite that's on my driveway. I have used for my kitchen work tops and they haven't marked either. They get a real bashing. I put hot pans on them, as well as splashes of oil from the fryer. Just clean them with any normal kitchen cleaner. The wife even puts bleach say it kills germs. Don't ask TIT.
Windex contains ammonia. I think it's unrecoverable. Pity. only 3 months old. Only 2 weeks of new maid....

Thanks. I will try the baking soda method again, (which had no impact the first, but perhaps too brief a time), but I fear the Windex has already seeped into the granite, and I do not think the baking soda (bicarbonate of soda) will draw it out.
Thanks, but, my stain is from Windex WINDEX, (or glass or mirror cleaner). This method doesn't unfortunately address that spillage. It contains ammonia.

Normally Granite doesn't stain. But some stuff you get here has been stained prior to delivery. That will mark. Once it's lost it's colour your Buggered. You will never get it back. It'll need re-staining.
Little tip to anyone that's thinking of getting Granite work tops buy the stuff that is natural Not stained.
Oh and no unstained Granite that is natural will ever need protecting. I've had it on my driveway for around 8 years and it hasn't marked at all, even with the car driving over it everyday.
Just taken a snap and can see the mess it's in. The builders are making a real good job of trying to mess it up. But once they have finished a quick hose down and it's be back to normal.
Thanks. I don't think it was pre-stained, but I have no certainty.

I do have a little knowledge on this subject from experience and suggest trying the faithful baking soda paste (with water). Avoid any acetic acids of any kind including 'windex'. Many informative videos on Youtube about 'drawing' the stain out using acetone or peroxide. An old but very good video is:
Many people don't realise that granite is porous and should be sealed properly and repeated once a year.
Hope this helps!
Thanks. I will try the baking soda method again, (which had no impact the first, but perhaps too brief a time), but I fear the Windex has already seeped into the granite, and I do not think the baking soda (bicarbonate of soda) will draw it out.

I discovered a stain on my new bathroom granite countertop where the maid accidently left a bottle of Windex spray, which she uses to clean the mirrors. I have Googled solutions, but there appear to be none. I tried applying Bicarbonate of soda and water paste for a short time, but it made no difference, and quite possibly this is one liquid that will leave a stain on granite.
Anyone have any ideas?

Yes, there's a red flickering light on one of the router boxes "LOS"....which is something to do with the signal, "loss of signal"?. Mine is fibre optic, and usually runs pretty well at 100 mbps, (in theory), but less with a VPN.

Yes, unplugged and replugged, but True have confirmed there is an outside fault. Could be from the junction in the building, even on my floor. They are investigating. Luckily I have TOT aswell, but True feeds the TV.
-
My True Online is not working and having reported it, True says it's an outside fault, "which they are checking"....nothing for 3 hours. Is it just me, or a general fault in Sathorn area?

The Bangkok Post has reported that same-sex marriage has been endorsed by the cabinet, and that same sex couples will be able to register their marriage and have the same rights as different-sex married couples. Rights covered include adoption and inheritance.
This is big news.
Of course it will still need to pass a vote in the House, but (fingers crossed) that should be a formality.
I rather hope that this means that the British Embassy in Bangkok will be allowed to legalise civil partnerships.
If same sex marriage is legalised in Thailand, it would be nice if Thailand would recognise same sex marriage or Civil Partnerships from other countries, for those whose spouse under that, is not Thai.

For what it is worth I have been doing online banking with a joint account from Krungsri, making almost 20 transactions, so far, since 8 June.
I would suggest the policy is not absolute, but discretionary as mentioned above.
My wife as joint account holder is NOT Thai. That may be a crucial point.
Thank you. I will inquire. My joint account holder is not Thai either, but neither is he my spouse, under Thai law.
-
I would keep it in cash for the moment. Things are going to get a lot worse here, and the SET will tank. Already Bank of Thailand, (like the FSA in UK for UK banks), has told Thai banks to cut dividends, to keep their balance sheets strong in the event of an anticipated debt spiral.

Slow down, take a deep breath & think about this new rule which has been put in place to
protect your half of the money.
Their mistake was not advising you .
Pop in & see them & change what needs to be changed
It's very kind of Krungsri to get involved in my personal financial arrangements, although I never asked for it, nor did they advise me they were doing it.

Many banks around the world are adding extra security to transactions carried out online via a computer. Krungsri might e taking this a step further and stopping online transactions on joint accounts? There are no restrictions when you do a tranasction via a smart phone app, you already will have passed the security. I have apps from Bangkok Bank and SCB, I can transfer money between them in seconds. Does Krungsri have a banking app? Just a suggestion.
Thanks. I just checked. They do have an app. You cannot transact on the app for a joint account.

Welcome to Thailand! ????
Well, I've been here 17 years, and I've had this joint online operated account since HSBC closed in 2012. A notice to customers might not have gone amiss.

Another absurdity is that with our two joint accounts, one a savings, and one a current account, we cannot transfer online from the joint savings to the joint current, or vice versa.
So in essence, Krungsri have made joint accounts only operable by ATM or by cheque, or by a visit to the branch.
