    We helped an American guy do it at Samut Prakan. They said his TM30 printout from the hotel was not enough, they wanted the receipt from the hotel detailing payment. He had 4 forms to fill out, my Mrs did it all for him as being his first visit he was a bit lost. Being a black guy he had some sad stories of the way he had been treated here and said it was a bit like Georgia in the 60's.

    Spent 5 days in Angeles in 1998, cherry girls, scammers and pay up front then do as little as possible, if at all. Blackouts and a stink from a pig farm near the Woodlands resort, horrible never went back. Pattaya was little better, apart from being on the coast and no pig farm.

    Who writes this rubbish? How can getting 34% of the vote be an 'immense achievement'? They only won by default as the Tories were a total failure, it was a vote against them rather than a vote for Labour.

    If the cash is taken out and spent how can they tell what it's spent on, or even who spent it? impossible. If it's a gift it can be spent on anything the giftee chooses

    I don't think it's possible to tarnish the reputation of Pattaya, attracts the worst type of foreigners and Thais. Despite the decades of pretending to develop it into a family resort, or 'top tourist destination' it remains famous worldwide as a town with thousands of prostitutes and tacky bars. As such it's full of crime, greed and scams.

    Went to a concert at a school in Klong Toey 3 years ago, all the teachers were patrolling the crowd of kids with big sticks, one or two got a whack, and justified. 'Oh no it's never justified to hit a child', it is when they are being little bastards!

    We are still waiting for the 'tax reduction' on wine to hit the shops!. They can't add much fruit juice as the strength remains the same, maybe just a drop or two?

    Just stayed in a BKK hotel near Rama 2, never even asked to see my passport, bit annoying as took it and could have left it at home.

    Sounds a fairer system then in the UK where we put illegals up in 3 star hotels, give them nice food and 43 quid a week. Then all they have to do is lie about being persecuted back 'home' after destroying all their ID. IDC needs to be a deferent, not a holiday camp.

    Our 7/11 sells then rings it up later, they even deliver out of hours, ludicrous law. Wine connection will not serve drink from 2-5.
