  1. Hope the service is better than the website, can't even read the prices
  2. 00500 + country code etc, no need to do anything else. From 3 baht a minute.
  3. well I have lived here a long time and never met anything other than incompetence from tradesmen here, could you provide some contacts maybe.? Construction work we had done 8 years ago mostly needs ripping out and done properly, water pipes leaking in lounge area, 10 years of 'tradesmen' have not been able to solve, electrician who did not know what earthing meant and a tiler who wanted paying for laying more tiles than we had actually given him, other tilers using the wrong tools and adhesive and an 'expert' who installed tiles in the kitchen running downhill.. The other problem is ludicrous quotes as soon as a white face appears. Bought new toilet last month from HomePro, their installer turned up, got angry over it not being a simple job and stormed off complaining. For once did get a reasonable job done from a Cambodian worker, who also did a bit of tiling and had the proper kit.
  4. As you can do reports on line there is only the need to turn up once a year for an extension and re entry permit, normally less than an hour. Hardly stressful, what I would find stressful is handing a passport over to total strangers and hoping they don't lose it or steal it.
  5. They seem about normal for charges, If I used one I would go there or the one run by a UK guy in Pattaya
  6. Not that surprising when you consider the speed of 'express' trains here
  7. You don't have to go there to see the conditions are clearly sub standard for all the animals, it's a concrete concentration camp. There are films about it on YT. How such a hell hole ever got a licence to operate is amazing, a zoo on a concrete roof of a shopping arcade! Yet people claim Thais are compassionate animal lovers.
  8. Knew a guy who worked at the America Embassy years ago. Went away for the weekend telling security at his condo when he would be back. When he returned someone had cut through his safe with one of those oxy torches and stolen thousands of dollars. If you have got one tell nobody, and never tell security what you are doing. My Mrs used to always until I told her not to.
  9. Why swallow and try to run, I thought the usual procedure was let them take the drugs and pay the escape jail fee?
  10. Mrs relative got killed on one last year, no helmet, license or insurance and no lights on the bike. Apparently that was OK as he was using the light on his phone!!! Lorry hit him and the poor driver got the blame.
  11. One dies on a bike on average every 30 minutes here, yet they still get on bikes with no helmets on, but often a face mask!
  12. You say you see more than 7 years back but also that is's great to feed them. This is what happens when they are fed by well meaning idiots- they increase in numbers!
  13. Not to mention all the dogs compassionate owners leave out in the yard all day, and some in cages, while they are out at work for 12 hours!
  14. Killing soi dogs is not inhumane, you would be ending suffering and stopping them attacking and causing road accidents, ending barking and poo pollution. What is inhumane is the present situation of irresponsible dog ownership leading to millions of strays and all the problems they cause- and then doing nothing effective about it while pretending a bit of neutering is the answer. Thailand will always look like a backward third world dump with millions of scraggy flea bitten mutts limping about.
  15. Thais would be far better employed in a mass culling programme than this sentimental soi dog nonsense. It just makes people think they are involved in doing something good, when actually they are prolonging suffering and pest infestation.
  16. Sentimental rather than compassionate, most of them don't even look after thier own dogs properly. They show little compassion for livestock, cocks being forced to fight, trapping birds and turtles or the way fish get chopped about down the markets. Dogs are specially reserved for this hypocritical sentiment, the main reason for it cannot even be talked about, woof woof.
  17. Yes, effectively very little, which they never stop exaggerating and telling us about. I'm not so sure about the non profit part.
  18. They have solved nothing in 20 years, On average they have neutered about 100 dogs a day nationwide, so have barely reduced the population growth. Add to that getting a handful adopted. The priority should be eradication, not neutering then leaving them to continue being pests.
  19. Got 7k baht Sony's on now, hardly any better than wax ear plugs for cutting out noise. I was replying to a previous post, you must have missed this: .' Here is a better idea: Buy a pair of Noise Cancelling Headphones. Either Bose QC II/III or Sony XM4/5 will do the trick. I have both. The Bose are in my village bungalow, the Sony's are here at my house in the city. Both work well, but the Bose are better. Mind you they are expensive, but they absolutely get rid of loud noise without the hassle of trying to find good neighbors. They're also portable so use them in shopping malls, extremely loud concerts, festivals, weddings, funerals,' etc.
  20. Deep throat ????
  21. I don't hate animals and don't eat them, however I hate soi dogs and think the country would be a better and safer place if they were all eliminated, and NOT fed.
  22. Animals are animals, they all have the same rights, that is if you listen to some of the animal lovers here who eat them!
  23. what about the ones people eat by the million every year?
  24. Red plate nonsense needs to be scrapped
  25. Many shopping malls have English lesson tuition places, some well known.
