When was that? even in the 90's Thais I knew in the UK always used Eva as they claimed they got poor service from Thai. I had to agree with them after a while when buying a one way ticket having a multi entry visa, they sent an email saying I would not be allowed to enter with it. They would not answer emails or the phone so had to go to the office London. When I got there just two staff no customers and phone ringing not answered, when I asked them they did not know they had to ring the check in staff at Heathrow- no problem, why the email then? oh rules must have changed. Never used them after that.
Always about the customer of the bar, never about the pimps providing underage kids in that Pattaya bar. Why has the owner of the bar, not the manager, been arrested and taken to court? I 'wish' they had been.
Kai Pannnipa sang a lot of northern songs, not heard from her for a long time, very famous classic.
there is always lovely Luktarn from Chiang Mai, although don't recall her singing any northern type song.
Some good singers come from the North but I don't know of a modern specifically northern sound, there is Lana of course. Just got in from seeing Ann Oradee one of the most popular luktung/morlam singers at present, she has great dancers, often with her husband in a larger morlam band
Are these the bars owned by the one stickman calls the Arab? they have a terrible reputation

Banks and esp HMRC send letters about increases and tax codes, I wonder if this is to catch people when letters might be returned not at this address? They could send emails, they do it even when paperless contact is chosen, bit risky.
The usual, it's part of Thai culture, they are all at it nonsense so it's ok, they are NOT all at it. But those involved in bribery like to think so, not all offices are corrupt, not all schools, not all police or local officials.
For one thing the misguided attempt to prevent the fraudsters by making applicants leave the money in the bank for 3 months after the extension and then half of it until the next seasoning period. You seem to think all offices and IO are corrupt, they are not which is why agents often need to go up country where they are.
In international and Thai schools, hopefully. English language schools of the sort you see in shopping centres are notorious for employing unqualified staff.
No rules, our estate is in two parts Mrs ran it for a couple of years then got bullied out of it by a new committee who obviously have their hand in the till. On the other single house part the head man was so obviously stealing the service charge cash that the cops, then the army turned up in personal carriers. Stand off for a couple of hours then they sent for his boss to come and talk him out- from the local POLICE STATION! He swore vengeance on the people who reported it and gave part of the money back. They should do a lakorn on moo bann committees. The better builder like land and houses and Sansiri install professional management, others just leave it up to the residents and that can be a vipers nest
Sounds like Jane may have fake qualifications and getting jittery. I would not regard even a TEFL as adequate, just a bit of paper for doing a course nobody appears to fail on. If you have not got a teaching qualification and experience please do NOT come here pretending you can teach Englsih. Thai kids deserve the best, and that's not Western, African and Philippine riff raff with a fake degree or TEFL.
