  1. Off-topic (a bit) but isn't the Thai elite from Chinese descent?
  2. Went to Otteri to wash my stuff. Washing was 50THB and drying was 40THB. Total 90THB. Time spent there playing Angry Birds and snacking - 40 minutes. Laundry services can't compete with that imo.
  3. I was about to give you the same advice. Try to remap if cleaning doesn't work. You could also try to find a keyboard testing tool on Google. Can't recommend one unfortunately but I know they exist. A good way to see if your keys are actually dead.
  4. I did. They suck.
  5. Thai international soft power. Omelet. ????
  6. If this video isn't biased, those Thai guys should have been arrested. Unacceptable behavior. Even if the farang didn't pay for his food, the vendor should have call the police and sort it out with them. This is no way to behave.
  7. You could clean your keyboard with a compressed air spray and a brush. Also leave your computer in a dry place at all times. Humidity in Thailand will ruin it very quickly if you ain't careful.
  8. The guy was a self-proclaimed expert knowing everything about bars, pubs, gogos, massages, etc... Why would a guy like that be nervous about being in Thailand when he comes here every year or so? I don't know, man. You might be right but I'm pretty sure you ain't.
  9. Why? Let's say you're in the business of organizing pool parties in luxury hotels or something like that. Wouldn't you hire a team of guys to run around Pattaya to "invite" people to your event? Honestly I'm pretty sure you'd find many of these schemes out there today if you wanted to. A guy on the bus, a guy at the beach, a guy at the swimming pool, a guy at the pier, a guy at you name it. My memories are a bit fuzzy but if I remember well Russians were very much into this at some point, weren't they?
  10. My god stop with this gay shiiiit ! You're freaking me out ????
  11. When someone wants to know every single detail of your stay, your name and your phone number, there is more to it than just "friendly". Imo anyway.
  12. Huge inequalities, ageing population, low birth rate, lack of education... Thai leadership has been warned for years by international institutions and they didn't do anything. That's exactly why I've been saying over and over again that Thai immigration should cut the <deleted> with their dumb rules about visas. Thailand need people more than people need Thailand. Keep the criminals out using digital identity tracking and let all the others in as long as they have the money. So sad to see a country digging its own grave like that.
  13. No talking about naughty stuff here. What's your favorite place? Where is it located? What makes it the best massage shop in town? Many thanks for sharing your tips with me ????
  14. It's like a laundromat but written by a moron like myself ????
  15. I've seen some places with dry machines. Not in the area I was interested in but they do have them in certain laundromats.
  16. Good point. Let's say you add 40THB for the drying. So now it's 80THB for 9kg. Still far cheaper than the laundry service. No you're not. That's it. You got me. I'm the owner of a laundromat and my grand strategy to get customers is to open a thread on an Aseannow subforum ????????????
  17. Alcoholism broke that man.
  18. Laundromat is something like 40THB for 9kg and then some. Laundry is like 40THB for 2 t-shirts and a pair of pants. The appeal of the laundromat seems pretty obvious to me. True, you gotta wait for a bit but quiet frankly if you have internet, it's pretty easy to use your time managing your online stuff, watching a movie or giving your opinion on Aseannow. I don't know. People are just different from one another I guess....
  19. Life is not a movie with con men stealing millions from a stupid rich guy. First rule in that business is to go small. Too big and you take the risk of attracting too much attention. Then you have the police coming after you and you are essentially fcked.
  20. I walk a lot. It might sound weird but I always did. I just like the way you discover things that way. Problem with Thailand is that you glap baan in wet clothes every single time. Anyway, laundry services are relatively cheap and convenient when you don't clean your stuff all the time. I do. So I rather listen to music for an hour or watch a movie on my laptop while sitting in a landromat enjoying a cha manao. As for ironing... ???????????????? Thanks, man. I appreciate the mental construction of me you came up with. The old dude with a beer belly, drifting through shopping malls and bars like a zombie... Charming really ???? Btw, every guy fitting that description that I have encountered has been exceptionally kind to me. The "expat loser" is completely underrated imo. You are right about the fixed budget though. I've always been a cheap Charlie. Not that I don't have enough money to do my stuff but I think that a very efficient way of staying wealthy is to not spend your money when you don't have to because there is a cheaper alternative. Yeah exactly ???? Ironing, <deleted>? Ok gonna check the place out. Thx
  21. That ladyboy was your reflection in a hallway mirror, you moron ????
  22. I'm not quiet sure I follow. Elaborate please.
