  1. Where can I buy cheap clothing especially t-shirts in Phuket ? Preferably Phuket Town. I was planning to order a couple of things from Lazada but I'm not quiet sure about sizes ???? Is XL in Thailand the same as XL in the west ? Anyways, if you know where to buy simple 100thb t-shirts let me know plz ???? Thxx
  2. Had the opportunity to test Grab. Never gave it try before. I'm impressed. 60THB to go anywhere in and around Phuket Town. 200THB for a motorbike to Patong. Got screwed though in Rawai. Missed the last songthaew, wanted a Grab motorbike but they don't have them there. So I had to pay 500THB for a Grab car. But everywhere they have Grab motorbike, mobility is just too easy now ???? (I love the songthaews though - good fun riding)
  3. Hi guys, I need a rashguard to protect my body (especially my back) from the sun while I'm swimming. Where can I find one ? Do they sell these in Big C? Thx ????
  4. Hi guys, So I know about the songthaews driving around the island all day long. Very cheap and convenient imo. Unfortunately I don't think those buses are available at night. So what is the cheapest way to go back to Phuket Town after a night out in Patong. Thanks for your help !
  5. I agree with your statement that creativity and curiosity are linked. However I disagree with the idea that curiosity is the essence of humans. It would be great but it's not. Humans are creatures of fear (mortality) and power (immortality). We ain't wonderful beings. We are trash cans for the most part. It's not curiosity that is going to destroy use but the relentless quest for more power and more control over everything in order to have the illusion that we are immortal. Btw no need to be old to be bored af by today's movies and TV shows. They are bad as can be imo. Why? Wokism, lack of imagination, lack of risk. Hollywood has been taken hostage by radical left losers ????
  6. Curiosity surely keeps your brain active which is a good thing for your health. That being said, too much curiosity might result in you taking more risks. At some point in my life, I had 2 cats. One was extremely curious, the other one was always afraid of everything. The curious one ended up venturing in a fox hole and got killed, the scared one is still alive today. The right dose of curiosity enriches you. Too much or not enough of it will be detrimental to you in some way. It's the same for almost every human trait.
  7. I was planning to go KK, Udon and Nong Khai before leaving for Laos. Will deffo try that Ton Tann Market ???? I don't have a car and I don't want to drive in Thailand anyway. National Parks won't be for me unless I find an organized trip or a bus going there. Do you know Kalasin ? Any idea if their dinosaur museum is reachable by taxi or bus ?
  8. Hi guys, So I'm planning a trip to Isaan next week. First stop will be Kalasin and the dinosaurs. Here is a list of questions that I have for you, Isaan farangs ???? Thank you for your time ! 1) Is the area flooded right now ? 2) The dinosaur museum is roughly 30 to 40 minutes away from Kalasin, how can I get there ? 3) Apart from the dinosaurs, I've no idea what to do there for a week. Any suggestions ? Things you like, things you think I should try/do ? 4) Is there any good farang-friendly area to drink a couple beers and chill at night ? 5) Is the city easy to navigate ? How should I move around ? 7) Is the city itself of any interest or are most attractions located a few kilometers away ? Also is the place especially dangerous ? Maybe in a specific district or at night or anything you know... Ok thanks for your help ????
  9. Went for my extension today. They asked me for: -passport -1900THB -Thai address No need for TM6 card. No need for copies. No need for photos. All done digitally.
  10. Last time was years ago. I remember the 1900THB fee but that's about it. At the time I was on ED visas though. Anyway, I knew that card existed at some point for sure but the memory of it simply faded away I guess ????
  11. At the airport you mean? Didn't know that TM6 card existed. Just found out looking at my TM7. That one I got online not at immigration.
  12. Doesn't matter. Go ahead ???? Usually it is but not here. Thanks. Nice stats. Much better than anything else I've come across so far ???? Lower class = agricultural workers, factory workers, street vendors, supermarket employees, security guards, etc... Middle class = office employees, middle managers, qualified technicians, military officers, small/medium business owners, etc... Upper class = doctors, lawyers, top managers, big business owners, etc... Don't mind that location thing if it's annoying you. It was just a way for me to figure out which parts of the country were superior economically speaking. Great article ???? I would have thought that the South would be richer. Not that much compared to the North/NE really... Surprising. I'm not planning to help anybody ???? Too greedy for that... I do buy a couple of lady drinks to the girls though when I'm having a night out. Yeah well... Can't say your reply is adding much added value to it.
  13. Hi guys, I've been trying to find relevant data about who earns how much in Thailand. Couldn't find anything detailed enough to be interesting / relevant. Please, share your knowledge with me ! ???? Thai lower class: Bangkok Central Thailand Northern Thailand Isaan Region Southern Thailand Thai middle class: Bangkok Central Thailand Northern Thailand Isaan Region Southern Thailand Thai upper class: Bangkok Central Thailand Northern Thailand Isaan Region Southern Thailand If you have no idea what you're talking about, no need to reply. I'm not interested in theories but in facts ???? Surely some of you have a long experience here + Thai friends and know about those things. Thanks ????
  14. Hi guys ! I was looking into the necessary paperwork to get a tourist visa extension and my TM7 form indicates that I need to provide my TM6 number aka arrival/departure card number. Problem is I didn't get that card so I won't be able to provide any number at all. How am I supposed to sort that out to get my extension ? Thanks for your help ???? PS: who is supposed to give you that TM6 card? The immigration officdr at the airport checkpoint?
  15. I was 20 yo old back then. Had no idea Europe would soon bite the dust. 20 years of crisis, austerity, political lies, horrid policies and finally the failure of globalization, skyrocketing inequalities, political divide, the end of US dominance over the world, a pandemic, a war, an energy crisis and out-of-control inflation ???????? My life didn't turn out to be what I thought it would be. Stressful times but kinda interesting though. Reminds me of the chocolate box story in Forrest Gump. That being said I hope all this will end with the heads of the neolibs on a stick. Those retards have ruined the lives of an entire generation of young westerners.
  16. I would agree with that statement. Variety is indeed the spice of life. I'm currently moving every 10 to 15 days. Pattaya > Bangkok > Hua Hin > Kalasin > Udon > ? Sedentary life sucks so bad imo.
  17. I did when I was younger but not anymore. Probably hormonal... 40 yo marks the beginning of the end ???? More seriously, women are too boring for me to invest time on them. Very low energy with odd interests in life. I can superficially fancy on woman but really love her (whatever that means anyway). Nope.
  18. Thailand is gonna change so much if this really is the future of its tourism industry. What will be the impact on price? Does it mean the return of cheap mass tourism? Wouldn't match the sustainable dev narrative though...
  19. I find it absolutely fascinating that the same narrative is being promoted all over the globe. You can here the exact same - almost word for word - all over Europe right now. Sounds a lot like "great reset" rhetoric btw. Does Prayut have ties to the WEF and the US libs ?
  20. In the hotel I'm staying in currently, most employees decided to silent quit. They don't clean the rooms or anything. Just the bare minimum (cleaning the entrance). The Myanmar guy there told me he was tired of working and not being able to live. This is a global phenomenon. Something big is coming. I can feel it...
  21. Ask the bar owners directly. Surely they know. Great opportunity for a nice chat ????
