It's all gravy in the navy. THB appreciated against the USD. Thailand bought a lot of USD. Now THB is going down and Thailand will sell its USD to finance its recovery. And because the THB is gonna drop, recovery will be faster. Who said the markets weren't socialist in essence ?

I won't be using a car on a daily basis. The bus/van/train thing is to move from one country to another once in a while. I'm not planning to stay in Thailand all the time. One tourist visa then move to Cambodia, a tourist visa there, etc... Last time I went to Thailand, I stayed there several years on ED visas and I got eventually fed up. I'm gonna need more diversity this time.

That's what I thought too. But then, why do you have an option like this one ? If you choose "international airport", you'll have to fill in your flight's details. But if you choose "border checkpoint", you'll have to enter the name of the checkpoint. If an incoming flight is mandatory then this would mean the online visa service is tricking people into making mistakes. Seems unlikely... I sent an email to my local Thai embassy. Will report their answer here. I feel you but the form is supposed to enable people to get an online visa without hassle. Offering an option that is not an option would defeat the purpose. I'm gonna ask my Thai embassy and will report here later on...

Didn't use a VPN. Didn't operate through public networks. These guys were all about social engineering tricks. They ain't hackers. Interesting though. It says a lot about the power structure in Thailand. As long as you have the required social status, others will obey without asking any questions.

So I'm in a middle of my visa request and I have noticed something weird. It seems like you can now apply for a tourism visa and enter the country by land. I always thought you had to present a flight ticket showing your arrival date and one showing your departure date. What am I missing here ?

I haven't seen a chart showing bitcoin next to agriculture, transportation or energy production when it comes to CO2 emissions. Is it a Ponzi scheme ? For sure. Not the only one out there though. So from October 2021 to March 2022, the Thai Baht has been appreciating relative to the Euro/Dollar. We went from 1 euro = 39.5THB to 1 euro =35.5THB (roughly) Since March it has been going sideways with a clear bottom at 35.5 and a triple support at 36. It looks to me like a market reversal and the THB might very well depreciate further down the road. What are you thoughts on this ? Is Soros shorting?
