  1. What is the difference between "khøø", "yak dai" and "ao" ? "khøø saparot, krap" = "ao saparot, krap" = "yak dai saparot, krap" ? The difference is too subtle for my tiny brain ???? I need help ! Thx
  2. Everything is fine. No flooding. No rain (that was last week). Usually pretty cloudy with some sun shining through now and then.
  3. If you can stomach uncertainty, go for it. I wouldn't invest in Thailand. Too many political, legal and economical unknowns. Tourism in Thailand might never recover fully. Its nature might also change radically. More Asians, less Westerners ? More sustainable tourism, less sex tourism ? More bargain hunters, less money to be made ? I'm not saying this is the way it's gonna go for sure. I just think it's a tough one to figure out. So think carefully before you act. GL
  4. I love the concept. Thanks for sharing ????
  5. Huge rally of Chinese real estate developers on the HKSE. Why am I not surprised? Look at that! The end of the world right before your eyes !! As usual massive media BS ????
  6. More pain to come for tourism and adult entertainment. A shame for all those workers that have struggling for 2 years already.
  7. Fair enough ???? So many? How many exactly? It's not even true. There has been a clear trend of young educated Chinese people staying in their country rather than moving to the US or Europe because of the many opportunities in China in comparison to the West. Things right now aren't rosy anywhere. How many Americans are "fleeing" the US and Europeans are "fleeing" Europe ? A bunch. This is just the reality of our world - people are displeased with the state of affairs where they live and want to see if the grass is greener elsewhere. So if they can afford it, they move. And usually they go back home after a few years ????
  8. Well I guess we have different sources. I believe there is still plenty of room for growth in China and I believe many Chinese tech stocks are undervalued. Those companies are growing domestically as well as internationally and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. As for China's future as a superpower, technology rules the world. Right now it's essentially China against the US (with the US still dominating I guess). There is no doubt that China will face demographic problems around 2040 but they also have plenty of room when it comes to optimizing their system (corruption, education, digitalization, etc..). The Koreans and the Japanese did it so why not the Chinese? I guess we'll see what the future holds. But I'm pretty confident China will be just fine all things considered.
  9. In the long run, it is that simple. Know your fundamentals. Know the trends propelling us into the future. Buy good relevant companies at a discount. Sell when euphoria is in da house. Repeat.
  10. I agree with everything you've written. Some americans will have a hard time adjusting to a world in which they can't bully people to get what they want. But there is also a lot of people of good will in the US. Eventually the West and the East will come to understand each other. There is no other way really, so....
  11. Economically China will be number 1 for sure. Militarily I'm not so sure. The US army is one hell of a war machine. Culturally the West has already won. India has an economy a fifth that of China and they won't catch up any time soon. Russia is a mystery to me: I don't understand these people ???? I agree with you. Taiwan will end up being Chinese at some point. I don't see how things could go any other way. The US won't do anything when it happens. But I believe the Chinese gov when it says it wants a peaceful integration. All their military drills is to make Americans understand that they have no place in the area; it is not a thread to Taiwanese. 3) I can't remember who said it but I agree with this. Showing your power in the 21th century will be to show that your system is able to bring prosperity to the many. People want security right now: it's a pretty clear trend.
  12. Ryan we ain't in a movie. Stop buying into those ridiculous WWIII narratives spread by medias. Those guys make their money selling fear. Journalism isn't what it used to be. I myself doubt that China will become the next superpower. It's more likely gonna be one of several superpowers. It will also be the largest economy in the world by far.
  13. Could be a good idea. The Thai middle class would probably enjoy Greece very much. And Greeks could be the beginning of an era of"quality tourism" for Thailand. Maybe... (I sounded better in my head before I wrote it)
  14. Not even true. Chinese A shares (mainland) performed better than HKSE/NYSE chinese shares did. Plus everything depends on when you bought. Morons tend to buy stocks that have risen and they usually regret it. Smart people tend to buy the dip and make money.
  15. There is a growing discontent everywhere. It has nothing to do with China, the CCP or Xi. There is a new world order emerging. This process is and will continue to be messy imo.
  16. You obviously have no idea how China is developing or how markets work. You should read more.
