  1. No, your ‘point’ is wrong whichever way you look at it. My figures are correct. You can run them for yourself on any chosen day.
  2. You are mixing terms up in so they don’t make sense at all. You write ‘higher’ when you might mean ‘lower’. You write ‘inferior’ when you might mean ‘superior’. So nothing you are writing makes any sense at all. I don’t have any history with you, so why would you imagine that I am trying to harm you in some way? Believe me when I tell you that what you have written makes no sense at all.
  3. It’s actually a bit sad…
  4. Don’t make yourself look a fool on your own thread. It’s not an issue if maths is not your strong point and I’m trying to help you. But you are stupidly trying to bite the hand that is feeding you. If I am telling you what you are writing makes no sense at all, then instead of just reacting defensively, think about the possibility that what I am writing might be true.
  5. You are showing yourself up. I’m not joking. Re-read what you have written. None of it makes any sense. I have explained it quite clearly. Everyone else here understands what I have posted. So instead of arguing stupidly and making yourself look a fool, look again at everything written until you understand it. It’s quite clearly explained.
  6. I think you are confusing yourself. Take a few deep breaths and then re-read what you have written. You are contradicting yourself. You have already explained why the MasterCard rate is ‘inferior’, so why do you need an explanation, from me?
  7. Do you understand what ‘higher’ means?
  8. Did you skip maths at school? I explained quite clearly.
  9. Nope. As a reconciliation would have confirmed US$400 too much in the ATM. You were scammed.
  10. Not the same deal. The point being is that I would get a better deal than you, with your WISE card. It’s ‘beatable’.
  11. Try reading again. Do you imagine that I have made a mistake? Your bank is not my bank. How should I know what your bank charges without even knowing your bank? I am referring to my cards and have indicated an example above, which is accurate. I deliberately did not include the 220 baht ATM fee in the illustration, as it would seem unfair to you. But since I don’t pay an ATM fee in such a transaction, the figures would have been 3,271 for you and 3,542 for me.
  12. No ATM fee. I’m not using Thai cards. Revolut is absolutely not a good alternative.
  13. Yeah, so why are you acting as if you are right and I am wrong, if we just have different opinions?
  14. I think there is more to it. Your brain appears incapable of doing anything but just reacting. Read: react. Try thinking for at least a moment.
  15. For example; ‘Interbank rate’ on the 8th; 35.53 Mastercard rate on the 8th; 35.42 Obtaining cash the equivalent of US$100 in Thai will get you US$98.25 x 35.53 baht, equalling 3,491 baht. I would get 3542 baht.
  16. I don’t pay any fees and I get the MasterCard/VISA rate, which is ‘none too shabby’.
  17. As a traveller I have a range of fee free plastic. WISE, as you have stated, charge you for ATM withdrawals.
  18. Sounds a bit more sensible. But I can’t see it for the OP. Doesn’t seems the type.
  19. Of course I can only respond to the information given. 2007 wasn’t mentioned. It’s not derogatory to state that someone was trying to trick you. In fact it was meant to be helpful. 😊 I’ve noted that some airlines are trying to play hardball these days. Lufthansa paid out immediately. Qatar just obfuscated and refused.
  20. It’s most certainly beatable.
  21. Why would I discuss it with you, specifically? You are specifically on ‘ignore’; just so you know. If anyone sensible asked, I would share without reservation. But you? No. I took the liberty of allowing your one post to show. Your next will be subject to the usual restrictions. I actually don’t remember why I put you on ignore, but the fact that you are there is all that I need to know.
  22. I hope that you aren’t being serious…
  23. He should come on here. We’ll sort him out. Even though partly in jest, I’m also serious. Isolation can do funny things to people. They can end up living almost entirely in their heads, coming up with all kinds of strange notions. At least coming on here, some of those can be challenged. If left to their own resources their minds may fester. It’s one of the reasons why I’m honest and forthright with regard to my perspective. To illustrate that you don’t have to be exactly the same as everyone else, in order to be regarded as ‘normal’. Someone here referred to ‘being on the spectrum’. Of course we are ‘on the spectrum’. Sometimes feeling a little ‘blue’ sometimes a little scared, sometimes a little angry. The point is to be able to traverse it and not get stuck. Some people get stuck at the extremes. That the danger… trying to get them back to understanding that life is fluid, not just exactly this way or exactly that way.
  24. Apart from your strange mischaracterising, my reactions are my reactions. You don’t need to concern yourself as to my background nor do I need to concern myself with yours. Harmless? I think many are harmed in and prior to the process. Is it a form of employment you would choose for your partner or anyone in your family? If not, why not? It’s “harmless”. It’s pitiful. That’s not to say that I look down on everyone involved. But it’s not a pretty picture. It’s sad and in truth, a bit disgusting.
