  8. If you can speak Thai, you realize people that do not think you can speak Thai, talk about you behind your back in the supermarket, stores, restaurants, you name it. It is not just a British thing Of course in the US, people will get right in your face and tell you

  15. "My point is the developed world is no longer a refuge from the hazards of the less-developed world..." The developed world is full of places you could never, ever afford to live or even visit. Maybe none of us. So comparing the developed world to the less developed is just foolish. From my developed world, things are a hell of a lot better, than my less developed world Fire, Ambulance, Police 1 mile away Hospital 2 miles away All stores, banks, restaurants 2 miles away Never been affected by crime, police falsely blocking the road or arresting me for no reason. VA health care, maximum set waiting period of 15 minutes at my location Beach with zero plastic or trash in the water No psychotic traffic or drivers No one burning fields or trash out in the open Clean water It all depends where you live in the developed world. If you chose a <deleted>-hole, that is what you got. But to say the developed world in no longer a refuge from the third world? Well is sure as heck is where I live.
  16. Thailand genius engineering!
  17. One's man's opinion does not a fact make. I wish they would stop publishing these nonsense articles. How many grown retired men have to rent a studio in their own city? Have you had an operation in the UK lately? Any comparison between the first world and third world is simply foolish. Did you factor in VISA costs, money in the bank for visa's, foreign health insurance for over 60 in Pattaya? Of course not.
  18. I have been giving some serious thought about only 90 Days in Thailand. November to January Lots to ponder
  19. H. pylori infection plays an important role in gastric cancer but there is a low incident of gastric cancer in the Thai population in the setting of high prevalence of H. pylori infection. This unexpectedly low rate may be influenced by Thai genetic predispositions to cancer. 20. What exactly is the medical condition or disease you are referring 50% of the population of Asia has? Prevalance is only a specific measure. What exactly are you measuring as the condition or disease?
  21. When you deal with the facts, it is not Thai bashing You have to be pretty uneducated to claim Thai people in Isaan have a lot of money when the facts clearly show the per capita income in ALL of Isaan is less than $3,000 to $4,000 a year as shown That was 2016. After 2 years of COVID it is probably even worse than shown Facts are facts.
  22. Thailand is the one requesting non vaccinated passengers be tested no longer than 72 hours prior to arrival Go back and read Ubon Joe's post
