funny, im totally the opposite. when i first moved herre i used to side with the thais on more or less everything. I really hated the farang who came here for the first 2 years or so. then, as I started to learn the lingo my eyes opened and i learned what the thai people really think about us. Now ive done a complete 180 and i wouldnt trust a thai as far as i could throw him/her.

You are totally right. Sadly, many users here think a slap should warrant a death sentence in Thailand. Very sad to see (presumeably) western educated males thinking along these lines.

Total overreaction to the situation by the Thai bouncers. They could have killed the Brit who was helpless on the floor. These unhinged Thai males need locking up before they do some serious damage to another patron. Bouncers should be trained to use 'reasonable force' when dealing with violent altercations, not beating someone to a pulp who is already on the floor helpless. Shocking behavior from the Thais once again!
