I am 77 now and I wonder how long I will live? What about you? Have you ever thought about it? I know a lot of you guys live in LOS but some of you are not. My family has a long living history. my sister will turn 87 now my mother past a way at 97 and from memory my granddad made it to 113 but as you all know time and years keeping was not correct at that time. I will be in a wheelchair verry soon since I had 2 broken ankles and have difficult to walk long distance. So if you get cancer or dementia or any other incurable sickness would you love to live longer or prefer Voluntary assisted dying?

You think about it if I move to LOS again I will loose most of my pension I will have the hassle of renewing visas, 90 day reports and so on I don't need that here neither my wife who got Australian citizenship. Another thing is I don't like Thai food so it would cost me a fortune on western food . My rent is just 480 AUD per fortnight that's not more than a unit in BKK but my pension is is 2600 AUD and have not had an increase in 8 years have free healthcare and free hospital and get discount on my pensioner card in many shops. Not everybody lives in the east and shops at Woolworth.

Thanks Mate I am married to a Thai for about 21 years I live in OZ so moving back to LOS I need to apply for a marriage visa correct ? And I need to prove an income certain amount of Baht every month correct? Any idea how much that is? Reading different reports all the time. I know I won't be able to get health insurance due to my age So what is the income I need to have every month and is pension classed as income and tax free.

Don't agree with you I could not afford health insurance in Thailand where I live I get it for free, I am paying rent but have not have an increase for about 8 Years doctors visit and hospital free as well. Don't have a car anymore my wife drives her new car and drops me of at the shops I still go to Thailand twice or 3 times a year and I am a pensioner and have no super anymore. I don't shop at Woolworth I go to Aldi which is dirt-cheap I spend my time in Thailand but went back home a few years ago since I could not afford health insurance btw I am not American I live in OZ.
