That you think that hamburger junk food made by an American clown is better than Thai cuisine I think reflects more on your tastes than most tourists. -
Gordon Ramsay’s group set to open 14 restaurants in Thailand

i have seen this clowns youtube videos of his trips to Thailand before. Total cringe. He has no idea, and can not even handle mildly spicy food. Easy to come up with 'tasty' food in England which is famous foractually having terrible cuisine. The bar is set very low. He only got popular on TV from the way he carries on like an old mole, whining about everything, not because his bland food is actually any good. But Thailand cuisine is up there with the best in the world, Thai restaurants popular and numerous all over the globe, and numerous dishes make top 100s every single survey. Cant recall ever seeing a "English Restaurant" being popular. It tastes like krap, but blander. Thais will think his food is tasteless, he doesnt know how to balance flavours, as proven by his old Thailand youtube content. Pepper and salt anyone?- 361 replies

Very honest wasnt he. Most farangs in that situation would just make excuses. Good people the Thais. -
A lot of us farangs breed with the locals. And it seems to be the general consesus is that the schools are not good here in The Land of Smiles (despite choosing to breed and falling in love with women who were actually educated in these schools} and that these offspring would be better off studying in the west and learning "western ways". I think i might have to disagree. The Thais might not learn much about things of which are little use in real life. Like geography and world history. Useless subjects really. But they do seem to learn very good manners which includes not making someone lose face which seems to grind at many westerners and most importantly 'greng jai' which many westerners dont seem to understand at all. And they seem more at peace with themselves and each other. The video below faetures a half Thai half British young women who was educated in England. Whadaya reckon? Is she a better person for it?

Ok, give them a call and see what they say. Then get back to me.

Obviously you and your mate dont have the language skills to ring up and ask a basic question. So you try to tear me down.

Thailand has about 40,000 expats. About 200 post here max. So about half of one percent if that. I find it both disturbing and hilarious that you are so isolated up in your Issan village miles away from anything that you think all expats in Thailand comment on this forum. Last month i was at a function with over 250, more than post here, in one room. With 80,000 posts i commend you on your dedication everyday. But the reality is, for 99% of us, is that we have better things to do with our lives. You will never see me at nights or weekends, usually when i am filling in some time when it is raining. Might be time to stand down chap. There is a big beautiful world out there. You are really missing out.

When? When I first got here if you wanted a visa extension you simply popped into any travel agent with you passport and 1000 baht and come back two days later and you would have a stamp from another country. Now you cant even stay here lang term on a tourist visa. Lets see if he gets it before saying I am wrong. If he does I am sure Trans will tell us. If not there will be silence.

All? Or both of you? Are you trying to help a friend or just argue with the truth? https://www.dlt.go.th/th

The only single on topic relevant post so far on this thread. I consider Ban Chang 'Greater Pattaya" even though it is in Rayong. It is mostly Pattaya Golfers or day trippers. Want to know if any in the other tourist areas. Nobody has come up with anything so looks like I am right yet again, which @Liverpool Lou will find jarring. He always gets it wrong.
