The problem with carrying $20,000 usd is one of bulk... $100 bills are the largest usd so that would be 2000 bills... can't just fold it and stick it in your pocket... I did it recently with a money belt but was searched at airport... no big deal just inconvenient. -

Your report from motortrend is only on one country a cold climate country, Sweden, and is behind the times... recent reports are more indicative that ev fires are more common and more deadly... especially in warm countries where the batteries overheat and burst into flames. -

You certainly didn't do it in Chiang Mai... it takes at least 30 minutes to get a number. The empty desks have employees but they are at snack or lunch most of the time... adding more won't make any difference.
