Section 13 of the Begging Control Act: illegally begging. The penalty is imprisonment of up to one month or a fine of up to 10,000 baht. ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー A funny law. If they have B10000- in their pocket, they probably won't do begging in the street. In some countries, if the convicts can't pay their fine, they can alternatively work in the prison factory(until they can save up to the amount they owe). Is it the case in Thailand as well? Anyone knows about it, please make a post. -

A great message. One most disgusting thing now days is, the Art of Responsibility Transfer. Simply a silly excuse for self-justification; blame me not, but something/someone instead. And the best partners of such a shameless offender are often Do-Gooders. Together, they are doing their best to eat up moral code of the whole society for own gain. Own Responsibility is the last word they ever mouth. -

Quite an upsetting news. Thailand is certainly not a dumping ground of human trashes (no self-discipline) from the first world. I really hate those taking advantage of this country's open-arm tourism policy. It is extremely rude to disregard the laws, culture, and the manners of the destination country. Thailand is not the safe haven for any foreign offenders. -
What a silly thing to do while seeking a refugee in Thailand. Looks like he(the Russian) just signed OWN DEATH CERTIFICATE. Likely to be kicked out from here and return to the home country of his Nightmare from which he escaped(to dodge his draft for Poo-tin's war without cause). What now awaits him is, the Meat Grinder in Ukrainian front...

According to the news text, what he was really after was, money for drug. And he admitted it during police questioning. So looks like it was his sign that was misleading. His last common sense (or defensive instinct?) did not allow him to beg money for what is illegal in public. Makes a lot of sense LOL. -

The Art of Responsibility Transfer. Common sick psychology/sociology among the first world. Calling any negative habits/phenomenon ILLNESS; using it for INDULGENCE to Dodge Own Responsibility in the first place. Even when it was 100% By own Free Will. Not at Gun/Knife point. Still Obsessed to Blame Someone/Something irrelevant instead. Drink driving accidents-> Fault of the beverage makers. Tobacco Addition->Cigarette companies' fault. Arrogant Kiddy Idiocy perfected merely for Self-Justification. -
10 year old girl shot dead over land concession conflict in Krabi

Truly the heartbreaking case indeed. Life and future of the young child denied by the cold-blooded murderer. Mourn for the victim. Hope that the killer is busted soonest. In Thailand, when the murderer is arrested, police arranges the Ceremony of Revenge for the Victim's family. People of the close kin to the dead, can step on the head of the criminal with their shoes. In Thai Buddhism, people's heads are regarded the holy part of the human body(where their guardian angels rest). So it is the ultimate insult that that sacred part is pushed around with the feet of other people. I can't wait to see that happens to that thug who took away her life. -

100% agree. Truly disgusting SOB. Now he can get a free accommodation(at the expense of Thai police) and (hopefully) free return flight. Looks like more than he initially expected. -

Quita a few people showed sympathy to the foreigner in this article. But the beg packer for drug is getting a cold shoulder LOL. I really have No Sympathy to the Drug Addicts/Drunk. As it is Purely Self-inflicted; by own choice. Not like the case where they were trapped by misfortune beyond own control. Not the same as being hit by the car with reckless driver. -
I recognize this neighborhood (from the shop sign and the shapes of the buildings behind these people). Must be in the Intrawarorrot Road that leads to the T-Junction by the park with 3 Kings Monument.

Man arrested in Thailand for assaulting teen during Songkran

>Police, led by Major General Thitithorn Saengsuwan and his team, successfully executed the arrest... They should have Literally Executed that scumbag(notorious criminal) on the spot instead. So that thing can never commit any more crimes in any future,; no more new victims of any kinds. One step closer to the better & safer Thailand. -
In Thailand, foreigners have always been required to produce their passport at the time of their check in(even before the enforcement of TM30 in the 21st century). And the same applies to the case of renting an apartment room. On that occasion, their passport photocopies needed to be submitted. That is what I have experienced by now.

Thailand ranks 44th in global crime index
borderhopper2005 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I would say, the civilized world has common sick sociology (since 1970s); over emphasis of criminals' human rights. The systems often do their best to help bad guys walk free. While in some countries, law-abiding people's right of self-defense is almost completely denied. And the residents are being forced to retreat in case of house break-ins. In contrast, in Thailand, right of self-defense is almost unconditional. For example, a shop keeper has every right to Shoot Armed Robbers on the spot. I found such a footage on Youtube. Crime scene starts 0:21- -

Worrying about lung cancer? Eat: Soybean paste(called MISO; medically proven anti-cancer agent). But no more than 8g/day(high in salt contents). Plenty of tomatoes, carrots, bell pepper,s and pumpkins(with high carotenoids; strong anti-oxidant). It keeps your body in alkaline. -
