Before moving anywhere it's wise to do research. You sound like you want to move to Thailand but haven't yet. Yes, the air pollution is bad for 2+ months each year. Sometimes rated as the worst in the world during this time. If you are elderly, stay where you are. It isn't worth the hassle and risk to move.

You sent 4,000 to someone you don't know in Thailand and are amazed that they disappeared with it. Heck, sending it to someone you DO know is risky enough. It's amazing that The Thai govt continues to rely on tourism for their main source of revenue instead of investing in education for their young people so they can bring the big tech companies in and really grow their economy. Many countries are moving their manufacturing out of China and if the Thai govt would grow a brain they could be the beneficiaries of such a change. But then again, this is Thailand so nothing will happen. Just continue to rely on the whims of the international tourists for as long as they can instead of trying to move their country forward.

Another stunningly stupid idea. Firstly, they won't be able to watch these people everywhere they go. Are they going to assign 3 police each day to follow them in 8 hour shifts? This makes no sense. There is no such thing as a list of best places to travel to that everyone will agree with. These are simply the best places deemed so by the author. Some like hot weather. Some hate humidity and bugs. Some like cooler weather. Some like a combination. Instead of paying attention to someone else's opinion of the best places to visit get out and travel and make your own list. You don't have to be a world traveler. Your favorite place to travel to might be within 100 miles of your home or even in your own backyard.
