  1. At home in Europe and the first time in Thailand I used always Sensodyne, but the last years I always use a Thai toothpaste, Thepthai. They have different tastes (colours), but I prefer the blue (sometimes the white) one.
  2. They do. https://www.kasikornbank.com/en/personal/pages/account.aspx#foreign
  3. Passports of some countries have, some don't have. My passport does have too, but not on biodata page. On Page 1 there is a column, called residence.
  4. No. I moved to Thailand and live here some years now and have (by the law there) no address in my home country or in any other country. I don´t know what the regulations and rules in the UK are, in my situation and in my home country they didn't do so. I have 3 bank accounts with credit cards in my home country all with my Thai address. I have a health insurance (paying in Thailand) from my home country with my Thai adress. I get my pension from my home country and pay my income tax under the rules of the DTA with Thailand in my home country. All I do there is with my Thai adress, so I don't need an address in my home country. I agree that it's better to have an address in the home country when living in Thailand. But the rules in every country are different and not everybody can have it, after leaving the country or having no connection (own house/flat or having the possibility to register adress) to the homeland.
  5. It was not a real question. It only should show how stupid this request is.
  6. Unfortunately, everything is possible here.
  7. In my opinion is this a complete joke and typical Thai bureaucracy without using the brain. How can a foreigner provide a currently valid document confirming an address in his home country if he lives exclusively in Thailand and no longer has a home address?
  8. @DrJack54 So when I got my multiple re-entry stamp at DMK Airport I cannot transfer it at BKK Airport or at my local immigration. Do I need to go to the immigration office at DMK Airport?

  10. At the moment you can get a 60-day visa exempt. In Thailand things change fast and until end of December this can also change and they can go back to 30 days. Better to have plan B.
  11. @lelapin for your information. Yesterday I was at the German Honorar Consulate in Pattaya and got an income affidavit. In front of me was a French couple who also received an income affidavit.
  12. You seem to be confusing something, Big Joke is not dead.
  13. This is good, because I need to go there next week to get an income affidavit for my next extension of stay.
  14. Why do you think they are closed? The General Consul of Austria is also the Honorar Consul of Germany and I think the office in Pattaya is open (Monday - Thursday, 10 - 16 hrs, except lunch break). Or does someone have different information?
  15. The account will be closed if there is no activity for 1 year and the balance is less than 2000 Thai Baht.
  16. The validity of German passports depends on the age of the applicant: 10 years for persons aged 24 and over and 6 years for persons under 24.
  17. No, this changed meanwhile. Under the constitution written by the junta, between 2019 to 2024 appointed by the full National Assembly, including the Senate, the prime minister is currently appointed by the House of Representatives only.
  18. No. In Chonburi Province Foreigners only can book online an appointment at DLT Si Racha and only at Fridays. But you have to book many months in advance. At the other 3 DLT Branches (Chonburi Mueang, Bang Lamung and Nong Yai) you have first to make an appointment in person.
  19. Are you sure? Did you check it the last days?
  20. A single Re-Entry is only 1.000.- THB, so it comes with the 1 year extension only to 2.900.- THB!
  21. Even foreigners with residency permit need a re-entry permit!
  22. Only for information: The MFA Office in Pattaya offers also walk-in, if you come early no need to make an appointment in advance! I came for legalization of passport translation after lunch and was still fine without appointment.
  23. I agree, but in the Area Revenue Office I have been twice, I didn't see one single foreigner. This is what you think, without any evidence for it. I think saying "This is Thailand" is far not the same as calling every employee in a Revenue Office "Somchai" No, of course not! And I didn't say this! I said in my case it was different!
