  1. agreed, no issue with that just don't like the fact that the government only recognise vaccinations administered in the UK, Europe or US.
  2. Update - I decided to go for the 400k option as the monthly one seems too long winded and a lot more paperwork. I've now deposited the money 2.5 months before my application. How long do I need to leave the money in there after submitting my application? I read on the forum that it Is it 3 months after submission or 3 months after receiving the new visa? I did check the Immigration website (below) but it didn't mention any time limit. It just says you have to show 400k in your bank 2 months before (nothing about afer). https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?p=14714#604c3aeba1b968fad Thanks in advance.
  3. issue is that now Thailand is "red" and as the UK doesn't currently recognise any vaccines administered outside of the UK, Europe or US you have to pay hefty quarantine fees. Hopefully the UK government will change this..... then again............
  4. be good to see a menu/selection of what they offer.
  5. Are we allowed to use swimming pools now under the current Chiang Mai covid restrictions? I wasn't sure we were but I've heard some people have told me they have been swimming at their condo and hotels. Safe distancing swimming perhaps? Thanks
  6. Out of interest @khunPer how long did the process take after the tea money was paid?
  7. Chelsea old boys running riot - Tammy, Giroud, etc....
  8. With Thailand now being deemed a "red" country by the UK, further restrictions apply and expense!
  9. I heard rumours that some CM schools may open this Weds 1st Sept but I've not seen anything official from schools or CM government.
  10. @CALSinCMPM me if you still need help. I know a Thai friend who speaks good English and would be able to help at a very reasonable price.
  11. +1 good experience, worth considering if you want something easy and hassle free.
  12. Thanks Joe, reassuring. According to a previous post the requirement for the extension when married via the cash route are are 2 copies of everything below per below: Completed TM7 application form. Proof of 400k baht in the bank for 2 months by way of a letter from your bank and your bank book Copies of your passport photo page and every page that has any stamp or visa for Thailand on it. Copy of TM6 departure card. Marriage certificate and a updated Kor Ror 2 marriage registry (Kor Ror 22 for foreign marriages) Copies of your wife's house book registry and ID card. Photos of you, wife and kids in and around the house. One must show you both with the house number shown in it. Map to your residence from the nearest main road or street along with GPS coordinates. Recommended you add home GPS coordinates on your smart phone as the Immigration officers normally ask for you to show them on your phone. Proof of residence if not living where your wife's house book is for. If you have kids you need copies of all their details - birth certificate, ID, etc. Is anything missing @ubonjoe Is a tax return required if you do the 400k option? Guessing no but one can never assume. Thanks in advance Thanks in advance
  13. I hope this isn't the case as I am thinking the monthly salary route is too messy and so I'm thinking of going down the 400k cash route again but only have about 2.5 months left before I need to apply (and I haven't put the 400k in my account yet). I guess the fallback option is the monthly salary option if worst comes to worst.
  14. Yes in my very limited experience they don't all appear to know the rules. Many a time I have asked a question to confirm something and they gave me a different answer or weren't sure.
  15. predicted starting line-up and score for tonight's top of the table clash lads?
  16. I want to adopt my step son in Thailand and wondered if any TVM had gone through the process and could share their experience, requirements, etc. I plan to contact the Thailand authorities this morning but in my experience you learn more from TVM than from the authorities, e.g immigration, etc. I have been based in Thailand now for the last 18 months. I did search on the government website for the criteria in English but sadly wasn't able to find the exact document despite there being many other documents. Hence I will contact the authorities today. Looking forward to receiving responses. Thanks in advance.
  17. Good morning all, I need to apply for the above and wanted to check if members know if CM Immigration requires anything additional to verify the monthly income method (THB 40,000 minimum) based on income earned in Thailand (with valid work visa). According to the threads I have read the following is required. However, I read that different Immigration offices have additional requirements, i.e. official certification of these documents. I am aware of all the other requirements regarding marriage certificates, etc so this question is specifically related to the monthly income part as opposed to the lump sum THB 400k option. I wonder if any TVM have recently renewed and can advise or perhaps our resident expert Ubon Joe ???? With Income in Thailand option 1. A copy of work permit (All stamped pages) 2. Personal income tax (PND.1) for latest 3 months and personal income tax for previous year (PND.91) with receipts showing it has been paid 3: Copy of Company documents stamped and signed, Documents must be under 6 months old. 4: Letter of employment, stating location of employment, role and remuneration. Thanks in advance.
