I’m thinking of buying a motorbike, never tried on. I’m 70 and like the speed! Is this a good idea? My son is a backpacker and says it’s super fun racing without a helmet. unless it’s life or death, never get on a motorbike in Thailand . Never. Never. Plan without it…..if you can’t figure out how to live without one, move.

BananaStrong replied to gingerandtabby's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
2022 for me. Don't worry BRO, we are in the SAME boat!!! I got scammed as well...... Met three college girls (separate occasions) and we chatted, exchanged pictures......one was way out of my league. sure. she said she got COVID. needed to buy medicine. I sent her 200 baht, she said she would pay me back. I said, "nah." The next one actually met me. Then later wanted 200 baht for ..... ah.... let's say me buying lunch. I sent it to her. Then there was one who was my masseuse and wanted to meet but wanted 200 for something and I sent it. 600 baht.........yea, that's 10 months of noodle soup for me!!!! OK, maybe we aren't in the same boat. Anyhow, I did buy something for 4000 baht that broke. how's that? I probably spent 10,000 on other stuff I later gave away over the years........same boat? I'm not commenting again until I found how how much money??????? " a lot" of money should be at a very, very minimum of 300,000 and it is almost 2023 so I'll bump it up to 500,000. -
Chiang Mai losing its appeal—how to manage? [long post/discussion]
BananaStrong replied to ThLT's topic in Chiang Mai
GREEN IS GOOD. GREEN IS NORMAL. Green is Life. The ability to live. Brain to think. Body to work. Lungs to breathe, happiness to develop.......Green is normal for the falang. OH Wait, what is this BLUE? OK, Blue is EXCELLENT. 17 Good and Excellent months out of 52. -
Which quite possibly be about 30 meters from this lady's "house." This is LOS, where nature is everywhere and all these "buildings" simply allow snakes to stay a little warmer. If I saw this snake, I would probably have a heart attack. I might live in a real house, but this lady certainly can handle nature better than I can. So, if you buy a new house and notice only 30-years ago it was built in an area that used to a snake farm.....well......lol.

Chiang Mai losing its appeal—how to manage? [long post/discussion]
BananaStrong replied to ThLT's topic in Chiang Mai
Chiangmai before 2010 and a few years before Covid hit. Three years total. Chiangmai is like a diluted sense of Thailand. Tourists, cheap falangs, mad falangs, drunk farangland, backpackers, broke YouTubers…….but it’s nice they all gravitate there. Chiangmai has everything but with headaches of smoke and traffic. It’s a must visit. 1 year is enough, but I had a gf and liked that experience of a gf who didn’t speak any English. Lol. Luckily, I slightly matured and got out of the cesspool. Every other city in Thailand is more Thai than Chiangmai. I’ve lived in seven cities. Thais like Chiangmai because it’s not like home. If you are not afraid to be away from hopeless falangs, try another city. -
I never missed a day of work in 54 years. Paid 49 percent in taxes, saved 2 million. Divorced, three kids. Now broke on 20 baht noodle soup running from the smart car. Out of shape, old, neck pains….. Neighbor is 19, does only fans and now has 11 million with YouTube money as well. Can’t count up to 11 teen. my house has been broken into, the news scares me, and now I’m paying 100 dollars for an egg. yeah, I can see why old get bitter……………. YOLO my homie!!!!

Hey, is that my son's kindergarten teacher????????????????? Oh yea, there is definitely a chance he's one of the great English "teachers" in LOS. Reminds me of two "teachers" I worked with around 2015 who really kept touching every single kid they saw. you know when it's creepy, and I told them it was creepy. Imagine seeing two 40 something "teachers" hugging and kicking and grabbing and holding tens of kids in one hour. It was really strange. They looked at me like I was the one with a problem. I left a few months later.

New Zealander Dies In Fall From Kanchanaburi Train
BananaStrong replied to webfact's topic in Central Thailand
It's pretty crazy how all these tourist opportunities become super dangerous. Jungle wire stuff....people die. Falling off elephants, taking pictures and dying, overnight buses and you die..... I remember a zillion years ago I did some tourist thing and was actually afraid for a few minutes. I kept my cool, but told myself, "Listen you moron, getting hurt in Thailand is the same as getting hurt back home, it will hurt!!! It's not like being dumb in Thailand means it will hurt less!!!" never did any of that stuff again. yea, in the jungle with a group of foreigners and a "guide". wow, pictures, and you get carried away, you want the best shot.......and then this. tragic. -
Pakistani Man Arrested in Patong for 3,270 Days of Overstay
BananaStrong replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Business decision. How much did he save? Yes, you have to pay 20,000 baht and blacklisted as you go an overstay in another country, but he must still come up ahead. I pay and forget about it.......let me guess..... let's say TEN years. Remember, NO traveling to immigration, no money to make all those copies, no pictures.....that's 20 baht saved!!! lol. Anyhow, the stress of this day has to be worth something and it's cumulative stress. Knock, knock.....OMG, heart races, until you find out it's Billy asking for another cig. Even if he saved 100,000 baht, minus 20,000.....80,000 over 10-years or 8000 a year to live in fear of the smart car!!!!! up to you. -
By definition, if you are reading this then you likely aren't living your best life; unless you really enjoy my sense of humor (send me money). According to some "experts" and how I want to interpret a meaningful existence, you need THREE of the following: 1. good friends 2. relationship, intimate. 3. structure in your day 4. job you like 5. passion for anything Let's be clear to the knuckleheads on here...................Number TWO is NOT bar girls, or some short-time fake happiness. Number 1 is hard for many...............in Eight years I guess I only had good friends for about half that time, that's not enough. 3. wake up at the same time, have a plan. 4. impossible. lol 5. critical, gives your life some goals. Let me check myself NOW.................1, fail. 2, fail. 3, yes. 4, well, sort-of 5, yes. 4 isn't good enough, so I FAIL!!!! If I fail, you must fail!!! lol I do think money is important, but we all know buying a new iPhone (I have 38 phones) won't give your life meaning. Tik Tok is not meaningful? Oh, it is!!!! not. But with money you could easily get married without any stress, but we all know the intimacy will eventually fade away.......... Let me know below how you have ALL five yet 8473938343990 posts on TVF and 298 online dating accounts while using the bar's wi-fi. lol

Happy, Merry Posts have no use here!!! 100,000 pages on a ladyboy attacking a foreigner!!! lol. Right now I'm hearing crazy music, some guy puking his brains out (daily thing), dogs, and seems a little smokey!!! yea, I'm in Thailand. ???? Mental Health, much worse, then much better, then much worse, then better, then great, then OK. Progress? Money, same as always. not a concern, now. Health, great. You gotta have ONE thing going for you. Mind. Not bad. Not as sharp, but that's OK. Giving spirit. YES. I have played "Santa" for many, many years to poor Thais. So that's good. Women? Fine. no complaints. 2023????????????????????????????????? My best year yet!!! lol. one day at a time...
