As a woman, I feel for her. I was pretty messed up at that age too, went over the "take a risk" line...way over! My parents trusted me but I effed it up, just lucky to have my family fishing me out every time. I hope her family helps her and not just saying those words, she badly needs fishing out! She still has many chances to restart her life for the better. Use that beauty and any skill/talent in good use and not something that would cause her deeper mental health issues in the future.

There are locally grown rice. The "Thai rice" is expensive for general consumers. Only the rich and upper middle class can afford it. The locally grown is already deemed expensive, so what more the Thai rice. I'm currently in the Philippines and people have been complaining about prices of rice/kg.

My cousin who grew up in NY came to visit us in Thailand. There were many times I had to hold her back as she brought her "NY attitude" along. The cursing, temper and all for the smallest things. I found myself apologizing many times in Thai to calm things down or she would have been in jail! 😂😂 Oth, my other cousins who are half American(born & raised there) from Cali were behaved and awestruck. They initially thought Thailand is a 3rd world country with nothing much or good to see.😆 In Thailand, fire fighting fire will cause beyond hell so it's better to just avoid squabbles for your own safety and peace of mind.

Western and European men are actually nice giving a bar girl chance to be a wife. Asian men in general won't do that, it's their "Vegas" if you know what I mean. I'm in the Philippines right now, let's just say I'm 1/4 Filipino and a mix of others(Halo Halo). You should come here in Rizal, just outskirts of Manila. I'm currently staying in this area. Antipolo has a lot of beautiful places to visit as well activities to do. Hinulugang TakTak with waterfalls is so refreshing and beautiful! I'm in the quest to get to know Philippines more as my family and I hardly visit here. It's not as bad as I thought it would be haha. But yes the government is 🗑️🤣 When I miss BKK, I walk around Makati and BGC.😁 However, I can't wait to go back to Thailand in a few months. There are still many parts depressing because of poverty. Many poor people approaching asking for food and money. They aren't as helpful to animals as Thais are either. My heart breaks for street dogs and cats here. Also, mentality wise Thais are still more open-minded. That's a disadvantage for the Filipinos in moving forward on many aspects. It's so damn hot here right now.😭

OP...you are not a bank, a loan agency nor a walking 🏧. Maybe there are other ways your wife can do to save for her mom's debt, perhaps a small business or online selling? Something that won't need a huge capital but profitable. It's unfair that you need to feel the pressure for something you have no part of.
