I have used Agoda numerous times never had any problems but if possible I always try to check the Hotel websites for their prices first as on many occasions I have noticed quite a variance from What Agoda is quoting as the hotels price and what Agoda are charging as their "Discount rate" one example I can think of was for a hotel in Bali which Agoda was claiming a price of somewhere in the region of $200 a night for a deluxe room with their price being $150 a night as a flash deal price but the hotels website was returning a price of only $50 per night for the period I was looking for ,so my advise is to do a little research before jumping into booking with Agoda !

Personally wherever I am the first sign of violence I develop a huge yellow stripe down my back and gtfo as quick as possible ! I have no desire to get embroiled in whatever may develop .

Take a trip to Bali they are readily available over there in fact most of the ones I have seen on sale in Aussie souvenir shops have been made in Bali and havent been in any way fabricated by memebers of the indigenous peoples of Australia !

Yeah but Thailand isn't the USA so therefore products like potato chips and other western snack foods are going to be more expensive than the U S ! and a lot of those products dont feature in the Thai diet !

What was your routing? Carrier? Locks do get removed by security - departing the U.S. that would be CPB. Best to not even use them. Or they get snapped off in normal handling. You can probably request a male pat down if you are uncomfortable with a female. Here in Asia it is not unusual to have women doing this. UA does a secondary at the gate, here ex-BKK, with mostly female security personnel.

Why should having locks on your suitcase look suspicious ??? whenever I travel I always make sure that my luggage is locked and the key is in my pocket so that I can open it for inspection at my destination if asked to !

One Question for the OP if your phone or any other of your possesions had been stolen in your own country wouldnt you have gone straight to the Police to report the theft and presened the evidence you say you have in your possesion to prove the theft of your phone ? if so why the heck are you so freakin scared of doing the same thing in Thailand ? man up go to the cops and get ya phone back !

while we are on the topic of healthy food I saw a recent episode of an american medical seris on TV here in Aus that asked the question how big a serve of veggies would you need to equal the amount of calories in a Big Mac Large Fries and a 32oz cup of Coke ??? the answer came as a total surprise to me when they answered the question by bringing out a large supermarket shopping trolley completely filled up with veggies an amount that I reckon most people would take at least 6 months to consume if eaten every day as their main meal with nothing else with them !
