What would it actually take to elevate Thailand?
Cameroni replied to Krillin's topic in General Topics
Yes, and imagine if you had to deal with Japanese girls instead of Thai girls. Kill me now. -
What would it actually take to elevate Thailand?
Cameroni replied to Krillin's topic in General Topics
Yah, it's definitely nicer when the mooban is embedded in a real community rather than on the side of some intersection. I prefer the charm of old lived in neighbourhoods as well. They still exist in CM. San Pakoi for instance -

What would it actually take to elevate Thailand?
Cameroni replied to Krillin's topic in General Topics
I get what you mean. Some of these developments are beautiful in themselves though, not all Mooban, but some are notorious for their luxurious living. But I do agree some of the more "organic" places have the most charm. It is so. Maybe you just needed a change. -
How long do you wait for takeout?
Cameroni replied to 1FinickyOne's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
They probably dealt with a guy like me. I ordered Rogan Josh with Naan bread and Pilaw rice whilst I was getting my hair cut. I thought I was being clever and would get the food delivered at home as I arrive back home. Of course this diabolical app somehoe disregarded my "Home" settings and instead logged the order for my current location. So I notified the driver to send to my home address. Of course he doesn't speak English and did not get it. So I got the hairdresser to call him. So he figured somethign was up. He still drove to my location, but I texted him again and he finally got it He arrived at my house 2 minutes before me and had to wait for me to compensate him with an extra 100 Baht (on top of the 500 Baht food order). These things happen. I can't say I feel bothered by it. -

Of course there are beautiful parts of CM, San Kamphaeng, San Sai, some parts of the city centre have charm of 1000 years of history. Every city has highways, it's a bit much to criticise a city for that. -
What would it actually take to elevate Thailand?
Cameroni replied to Krillin's topic in General Topics
it would be nice if Thais could become more prosperous and more educated. However, if that were to happen then Thailand would lose its charm. Nobody wants to live in Japan, with its draconian police model. Imagine if Thailand had Japanese, German, British or US police or immigration. Which would happen with greater wealth and education. And it would erase all the charm of Thailand in the blink of an eye. -
Wall Street Rebounds Sharply as Trump Softens Tariff Stance
Cameroni replied to Social Media's topic in World News
This is a man that played Marla like a piano. She left and had Michael Bolton in love with her. Michael Bolton! The long haired crooner women were throwing panties at. Just for kicks the Don competed and WON Marla back. Now he is playing the stock market like he played Marla and Stormy, making it his BEAATCH.... This man knows no fear. Nothing is impossible for him. Andrew Tate is watching in awe. -
Trump Accused of 'Market Manipulation' in Tariff Reversal Shocker!
Cameroni replied to CharlieH's topic in World News
BE COOL. JUST. BE. COOL. You are way out of your depth here. Trump is the clear winner. He has countries lining up to give the US what he wants. Just to lower tariffs. This man is a genius the likes of which we have never seen. Even Andrew Tate is watching in awe. Trump top G. -
This is indeed sad. Because scrapies was caused by feed it was initially assumed that rendered feed could also be the cause of BSE. However, to this day, this was never proven. There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever for the fact that rendered feed caused BSE. It is merely a theory. What is proven is that BSE can be caused by genetic mutation. Now most scientists focus on the genetic mutation theory of origin, though the feed restrictions are kept in place out of an abundance of caution. However, it is still allowed to feed chickens, pigs, fish etc feed that contains offal and rendered animal protein. So the pigs and chicken you eat are most likely fed with rendered animal protein, yet you don't get BSE. Remember that domestic cats in the UK developed BSE. This is a genetic disease. It may be the case that rendered feed plays a role, and it is sensible to retain the precaution of not using it. However, all the science points to BSE being caused by a genetic mutation and the theory that it was transmitted by renered animal protein feed has NEV ER, EVER, been proven. To this day. In fact DESPTE the ban on rendered feed there are STILL cases of BSE appearing in for instance Canada. How is that possible, if feed was the cause, and it is prohibited now in Canada? Obviously genetic mutation. Educate yourself on the science of BSE here: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/312191360_While_England_Ate_Government_and_the_Risk_of_BSE_1979_-_1996 All the latest science points to BSE being caused by genetic mutation. Indeed it is extremely rare, which is why Australia using this as a pretext to hobble its main competitor in the Oz market is so transparently protectionist market distortion. Australia knows it can't compete with US beef.

What are you talking about? The British govenment DID find at the time that BSE was caused by a genetic mutation. To this day this is the majority view of good scientists. "” He then reviewed the current majority view that “infectious proteins, prions, cause the disease and that they can come about through spontaneous mutations”. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0960982200008381 Your attempts at misrepresentation and lying are laughable.

There is marked difference in taste between American and Australian beef, but it is American beef that is considered superior in taste. Australian beef is generally viewed as too lean with a poorer flavour profile, whilst American beef is fattier and therefore has more depth of flavour. " "Who Wins the Beef Battle? It’s difficult to compare two different types of meat with unique characteristics and depends on what standpoint your comparison comes from, if you’re looking for pure nutrition and quality then it would have to be Australia. But if you want some luxurious flavour with delicate fatty cuts then American beef is a must-have." https://t2conline.com/aussie-beef-vs-american-beef-which-is-better/ Why would I ever go to Australia? It's on th axxrse of the world, has no culture and nothing to offer? If I got that direction I'd obviously go to Bali. Like most Australians.

Tariff pause - Trump IS an idiot !!
Cameroni replied to TorquayFan's topic in US & Canada Topics and Events
You better look in the mirror. Countries are lining up to give Trump what he wanted. He's a genius. The tariffs are only paused, and he is restructuring global trade. It was always the intention to negotiate different terms with each country. -

What would it take to make an iphone in America?
Cameroni replied to placeholder's topic in Political Soapbox
I agree Iphones are easier to use. But saying that Android is too difficult to use, well words fail one really. It's particularly amazing because you used Android in 2023, and it has caught up a lot and made use far easier than ever before. Ease of use I give you that though. Sexy design as well, granted, on some products, though the newest Iphones look like boring bricks compared to some of the Android competition. Yes, Iphone does work. But, their closed eco system, big brother deciding what apps you can get is a total dealbreaker for me. Plus the fact Apple prodcuts are stupidly overpriced. There are a very large number of Android phones that are just far better specced, charge much faster, the specs are just so much better. I am still convinced most people buy Apple because they've been sold this "luxury top apex product with insane priceline" advertising and think they are joining an exclusive elite world. I see Apple phones as inferior to many Android phones. -
The genius of this man. These tariffs were just a ploy to get all countries begging to give the USA what Trump wants. The tariffs are paused to allow affected nations to bring tribute to the United States. You have to watch in awe and wonder at the sang froid, this man is the top gangster in the world. Even Andrew Tate watches in awe.

Cameroni replied to placeholder's topic in Political Soapbox
Hopefully too much. Apple products are overpriced for what they are. They have a closed eco system. Why anyone buys apple is a mystery really. Oh yeah, the advertising. They think because it costs three times what it should they now belong to the elite. When in reality they belong to the club of fools overpaying for nothing all that. Plus closed eco system. -
I get woken up EVERY morning by the Thai grandma next door screaming at the top of her voice to some child. How can this woman not consider other people? Old women are truly a curse. Unless it's your mother of course.

My God the poor children will be traumatised for life. Imagine seeing a female body. What a traumatic event. Some people really. -
More underhand tactics, lying tactics by yourself, you can read above the point I was making that Australia was protecting its domestic cattle industry from the powerful competition of the US. Indeed the British government DID find that the BSE outbreak was due to a genetic mutation.
-
All forms of BSE are exceedingly rare. Thanks for proving my point. So Australia is curtailing ALL imports of US beef on the basis of a flimsy pretence, that BSE is a concern, when in fact their own Australian cows could just as well develop BSE due to a genetic mutation. That is what is called sly, underhand protectionism. Very obviously Australia is protecting her own cattle industry from its most powerful rival, the USA. Plain as day.

You don't know what you're talking about, sadly, Xylophone: Mad cow disease may have a genetic cause, according to Juergen A. Richt, Regents Distinguished Professor of Diagnostic Medicine and Pathobiology at Kansas State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Richt said that, until several years ago, it was thought that bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) was a foodborne disease. But recent findings by his research team suggest that mad cow disease is also caused by a genetic mutation within a gene called Prion Protein Gene. https://www.cabidigitallibrary.org/do/10.5555/collection-news-18649/full/
