  1. Ours is self-inflicted, spending money we don't have, and on ridiculously stupid bills passed easily by congress. We need a much higher hurdle for passage of spending bills, like 80% or bills don't pass, plus base any new spending on keeping the Debt-to-GDP under 60%, or again, no new spending allowed....we need to cripple the spendthrifts.
  2. Yes, but look where it has gone in just a few years, it was hovering around 60% for many years, then dramatically went up, then went ballistic the last 3 years, not good!
  3. Good luck getting your money back, you will ultimately lose on those resells.
  4. The problem is the Debt-to-GDP is out of control (hovering around 130%), until it starts shrinking (preferably back to about 60%), the road ahead will not be pretty.
  5. Ok, I couldn't control myself, I bought a little bit more at 36.975 ????
  6. Obviously, Big Joke isn't a "made man" in the RTP (Royal Thai Mafia). Looks like the toes he stepped on were those of actual made men.
  7. It's at 36.795 and going up, I think the ship (Thaitanic) is sinking.
  8. Promise free handouts, then backtrack with excuses, don't hand out anything, or hand out something that amounts to almost nothing. If the politician in question is lucky, he can blame the lack of implementation on his opponents. Rinse and repeat.
  9. Big joke himself confirmed he was paying 50,000 baht per month to rent two units, one for him and one for his father. So who is telling the truth? I'll submit that the truth and any member of the RTP, are not synonymous.
  10. Don't worry, Thailand will give full "clarification" at the last possible second, leaving everyone else to pick up the pieces, then pat themselves on the back for a job well done. I think the PM is a complete moron, or is actively trading based on the chaos he has created. I really do hope someone investigates him and his financial actions.
  11. It's at 36.735 right now, hesitant to buy anymore, almost all of the forecast show the THB reaching into the low 40's against the USD over the next year or two mainly based on political uncertainty here.
  12. Demand justice?!? Does he know what country he lives in? LOL ????
  13. I knew I should have waited a little longer, its at 36.545 right now and climbing ????
  14. There, fixed it. The prison authorities and police officers are waiting on the 74 year old PM's every whim , there for him at all times, day or night.
  15. So straight from his lavish prison suite to his posh mansion, then back to dirty politics again, what a martyr he is to the cause. Bless his innocent soul!
  16. Former members of corruption inspecting new members of corruption, expect a lot of brown envelopes to be passed around.
  17. A "committee"? Oh good, another state sponsored trough for "committee" members to exploit and plunder. Thai's love committee's, free food, lodging, and other expenses paid for by the state. Anything meaningful coming out of the committee? Not a chance in Hell!
  18. I bought a small amount at 36.40 a few minutes ago, I feel guilty ????
  19. I still have accounts with BOA, but I also have a house and mailing address in the USA. So for all practical purposes, they believe I live there, technically my brother does. I consider myself a guest here, not a resident of Thailand.
  20. Now the long process of reading up on any issue repatriating assets back to the USA. Seriously thinking about moving the family back home, just glad I didn't sell our home in the USA already, that was the plan before.
  21. The current PM wants more foreign investment, but makes this wild unthought out proclamation that would stifle that foreign investment, it boggles the mind....unless he is just another village idiot.
  22. Why would you put all your eggs in one basket? Why would you not have multiple accounts, and just switch funds between them when something like this happens?
  23. If they want to tax us, they should remove all the fund requirements for staying here also. Why should we keep 400,000-800,000 in a Thai bank making nothing for interest? If they can indeed see worldwide income, then that income abroad should count, not just incoming or banked amounts.
