Good luck to buy for something that's not in your name. It could be ok if no brothers, in-laws etc, or a huge family behind the girl, but that is rarely the case in Thailand. But then it does work out for others, so it's just that each person sees things with their own sensitivity and intuition.

Daily replacement of the plastic laundry bag that I never use for the hotel laundry at rip off prices, but use to put my used laundry in the luggage and take it elsewhere ???? A minimum space in the rooms and not those cramped spaces. King size bed of course , large enough to acconodate 2 or why not even 3 to 4 "guests" ???? and a clean fridge, Proper curtains and blinds to block morning sun, especially after a late night out English speaking reception staff who can help with printing documents or make residence statement for immigration or other hassles asking for an address, Decent 24hour business center with free and sufficent tables to acces computer, printer and photocopy. Breakfast options but not compulsory and deducted from the bill if not used. Reliable hotel safe both at reception and in room, And not the kind of safe any maid or whoever can open with the master pass, Complimentary daily supply of at least 2 large bottles of mineral water. And yes, this is a minimum requested, that is available in many 3 or 4 star hotels in Thailand. Ok here we go to click on the laughing or sad faces ????

Better to have one today...then to lose many tomorrow.... As rightfully suggested above by others, governance could continue to maintain the manipulation of the THB on the low, should the powerful need to transfer out more of their billions at the lowest cost possible... But a tsunami could occur considering the rumours of possible losses in China's largest domestic asset wealth management firm...not sure though who it will benefit; the western currencies or the asian currencies ? For sure the Swiss Franc will surge as it is usually the standard solid refuge currency in times of doubt. But then, I am no specialist and definately do not have the balls to gamble my savings.

Ok if one has the super ca$h to shell out half a million for a car why not. But considering the wealth of the owner, should he have class, he would definately not make a fuss with the other parties insurance and take up the expenses of both sides involved. That would be a real gesture of class, deserving to ride in a Rolls. I would have done it if i had such a car and mainly such cash.

If I could go back in time, I would never buy in Thailand. Renting seems the safest option considering all the scams around. Not to mention the issues that could arise on after completion and key hand over and of course the developper is rarely as compliant as before the sale Unless one is a professionnal builder, it's a further risk for foreigners. Not to mention regular hassles for non immigrant visas that tend to become a nightmare for the westeners used to a certain level of bureaucratic simplicity back home.

But how does one send in the money from abroad without a bank account in Thailand ? Besides Western Union or Money Gram etc....no other means
