The hotel staff couldn't speak English, so why should I pay for them to speak English ? Thats another reason why I should pay normal price and not pay extra

Its not a problem for me . I will happily stay at home and keep my 5500 Baht in my pocket and not bother with 5 * hotel accommodation and we could do with some heaters here as its rather cold at the moment

The staff at the hotel could barely speak any English , reporting TM30s is free and takes minutes , I don't use more air con than a Thai would and I would have to pay for any damage caused . Thais seem to cause more complaints with their inconsiderate behaviour (from me, anyway)

That hotel had certain amenities that no other hotel in town have and that was the main reason for decided to stay out for the night .

I intended to stay in a 5 star hotel toning and found one for 4,111 Baht for the night and I went to book and it stated the price was for Thai Nationals only. I looked at the same room unticking the "Thai National" box and the room was 5.600 Baht . Thats the first time in Thailand that I've experienced dual pricing and I decided not to use that hotel tonight or any other night . Like , why should I pay more for a room than a Thai would ? Its it quite common for hotels to have dual pricing ? I will just stay at home now and not bother going out to a hotel
